Meslier - 6.5 - Absolutely nothing to do bar pick the ball out of the net
Ayling - 7.5 - Defensively shaky but good going forward, thought he captained the team well too
Llorente - 6 - Switched to the left for Cooper and it showed, beaten badly for their second, his deflection for their first
Cooper - N/A
Junior - 7.5 - Beginning to play well, solid in D I thought and good going forward, he's an intelligent footballer
Phillips - 8.5 - Probably would have ended with a 9.5 had he seen the game out, back to form and hopefully not a serious injury
Forshaw - 6.5 - Started well but not so good sitting deeper
Dallas - 8 - Again shunted around but we still got those surging runs, outside the box shots and the best defender on the park
Raphinha - 9 - Outstanding, not everything comes off but he's the key
James - 7.5 - I thought he did alright playing through the middle or drifting left
Roberts - 9.5 - Outstanding.

Harrison (15) - 7 - Needs to let the ball go earlier but played well and some stout defence
Klich (52) - 6.5 - Runs went unnoticed, but solid on the ball
Bamford - (68) - 6.5 - 25 minutes of nothing then the predator's goal.

Meslier 6: Can't remember Illan having much to do other than pick the ball out of the net twice. No chance for either goal. Caught the ball well today.
Ayling 6: Great to see Ayling back in his best position and running with the ball, well for a while anyway. Gave the ball away cheaply when tying to play a few forward passes which left Brentford a breakaway chance. Overall nice to see him back. No more CB please. I just wish Biesa would trust the young lads a bit more personally.

Llorente 7: Probably our best defender today.
Cooper :
Firpo 6: Brentford sat back for most of the game so not really tested out wide that much. Some good linking play first half. We will find out what he is made of in the upcoming run of games.

Phillips 7: Was playing well before he went off injured. Its like the other players lose confidence when Kalvin in not there to cover them.
Forshaw 7: Was good first half keeping thing tight. Like the rest of the side lost shape and balance when Kalvin went off.
Dallas 8: Just when Stuart must have been looking forward to influencing the game further up the pitch Mr Versatile has to go back and fill in at RB again. Other than one or two bad moments, one leading to their goal i thought Dallas was excellent. The Cruyff turn to leave two players facing the wrong way was cracking.

Raphinha 7: Another quiet day for me Raph and he still gets a assist. He looks a little flat at the minute for whatever reason. Still our most creative player but his crossing and shooting wasn't the best today.

James 5: From the sublime. Consistence is going to be this lads achilles heal. Just leave the kid on the wing. When Raph plays that ball down the wing to find him in space at the end there he's got to do better than belting it over everyone considering how little we had created.

Roberts 8: Our best player first half for me. Started the move and finished it like Lineker. If that long range effort second half is anywhere near the posts it goes in. He's in to get goals and today he scored a good one.

subs.
Harrison 6: He didn't know where he way playing when he came on. Inconsistent some good and some bad at both ends of the pitch.
Klich 5: Again Klich struggling for form and consistency.
Bamford 7: He's back with a bang.

6 Meslier - The young man must wonder why his defender are so feeble in front of him
6 Ayling - FFS he is not a centre-back, wrong option Marcelo.
6 Llorente - not at his best.
n/a Cooper
6 Firpo - some good link-up play.
7.5 Phillips - totally lost it after Kalvin's departure.
6 Forshaw - struggled in the second-half
7.5 Dallas - apart from the slip for the first goal, had a decent game in two different positions
7.5 Raphinha - A couple of sublime pieces of skill plus cross for Ayling's header & the equisite pass for Roberts goal.
5 James - ineffective
7.5 Roberts - Our best player first half, not as effective after the break
subs.
5 Harrison - Where has the Jack of last season gone?
5 Klich - Convinced his days at ER are numbered
7.5 Bamford - Oh how we have missed Paddy, great celebration too.

Meslier - 7 - not at fault for either of the goals
Ayling - 6.5 - did well to start, but would have fared better had he not been forced into the middle
Llorente - 6.5 - he's been better. Then again, he's been worse
Cooper - too little time on the pitch
Firpo - 7 - seems to be improving as he gets back into the swing of things
Phillips - 8 - Just when you thought December couldn't get any worse, we lose our most important player
Forshaw - 6.5 - solid, yet unspectacular
Dallas - 7 - once again, he was pretty much everywhere
Raphinha - 8.5 - another outstanding game from our most talented player. Brilliant passing, ridiculous work rate
James - 6 - looked like he was running in wet cement. Working really hard, but not getting anywhere
Roberts - 8.5 - best 90 from Tyler in a Leeds shirt, I think. Finally starting to sustain the level of play we've only seen in flashes up until now. Long may it continue.
subs.
Harrison - 6 - ineffectual
Klich - 5.5 - Used to be they said if you watch the game you don't notice him, but if you watch him you see the game. Now you don't notice him for a reason.
Bamford - 8- Good heavens how we missed him.
