Personally I have to go back to the 60's/70's.

That Celtic side was out of this world

The first British club to win the European Cup back in 1967.

Too strong for the great Revie team in both semi-final legs in 1970.

Hearts. When i was a kid my 1984 sticker album contained a Hearts crest in Silver foil and for some reason i was always drawn to it. In Footballing terms you have to say the Lisbon Lions were something special when all the players came from the local area. (i think i read it somewhere)

I remember going to Jack Charlton’s testimonial sometime in the early 70s. It was a friendly match arranged against Celtic and friendly being the operative word. It turned out to be a great celebration for Jack himself, played against a great atmosphere in the crowd so much so that by the end of the game the Celtic fans were chanting for us and we were chanting for them, although my mate did get his scarf nicked outside the ground. So I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for Celtic ever since.

But having said that, when I can be bothered, I would check the results of perennial strugglers Albion Rovers for no other reason than I just like the name!

I used to go to watch Stirling Albion occasionally when I lived there in the 80s, one of my mates is a diehard club member to this day.

It does highlight tho the plight of Scottish football
They were more than a match for England in the 60s and 70s
I don't buy this small nation theory
So is Croatia they got to a world cup final
Uraguay has a tiny population but produce top footballers.
Apart from the two giant's Scottish football is atrocious.

East Fife 5 v 4 Forfar………….I can’t ever recall there was though.

None for me. Boring league and as a kid I never took any interest in it even though my dad was Scottish.
Hamilton Academicals I believe were the team he followed

In the 80s I loved watching Dundee United as they had a good team, played some great football and had some brilliant cup runs in Europe
