This is imo the hardest one so far.

Will need a few clips watching to decide.

It's Chapelle or Carlin, Carlin edges it but tough choice. Rivers, as good as she is, didn't factor

Same toss up for me, with the same outcome. I like Joan, but she's not in the same league, imo

I actually like John Bishop as well.

I went for Joan Rivers.

I just loved her.

An absolute acid tongue.

Genuine icon.

But George Carlin is a legend to.

But I did go with Joan.

All about opinions, Cjay, Joan is savagely funny but Carlin and, to a lesser extent, Chappelle are, for me, funnier

Never got in to Dave Chappelle (all be it now having watched clips for this he is a funny man).

George Carlin I only got into on YouTube, as far as he know he didn't pop up on our tele or tour here so my exposure to him was later in life.

Joan did the UK circuit, toured here, appeared on shows so saw much more of her.

I could easily have voted for Carlin though because he had tears down my face.

But Joan was lethal when she got going, adored her.

Like an acid tongued granny.

Chappelle's fixation with attacking the LGBT community is a bit 1980s. Some of his stuff is more like "Delerious" era Eddie Murphy, like the line about "punching the LGBTQ community right in the AIDS".

They have more real world relevance imo... did you ever see this remarkable piece from Chappelle?

Think this one will be very close. Likely between 2 but wouldn't be shocked to see others come back into it.

Chapelle for me, sometimes feels more than a comedian and has an importance to me, up against tough competition however
