Are we looking forward to the Championship?
New managerial team
New players arriving at ER.
Our best young stars featuring in the first-team.
Approach games with a winning mentality.
We'll win more games.
Make Elland Road a fortress once again.
Quality of football, better to watch from a Leeds perspective, can't be worse than last season.
Score more goals.
Players playing for the shirt.
Not feeling miserable after virtually every game.
SKY darlings of the championship, we'll be on tele every other week.
No VAR.
Not as many prima donnas in the championship
Only one team can win the Premier League, and a select few can make the top six, not the case in the championship.

Re: Are we looking forward to the Championship?
I always look forward to Leeds games whereever we play ...I'm also hoping we keep a lot of players. I'm not one for burn it down start again as it almost never works ....
Striker is needed, Diaz or Gyorkes are the only two names I know.. I'd also inquire about Che Adams to see if SFC have finished with him... just approaching his prime...
Sign Robles for another season, we're set in defence and wing so apart from striker it's focus on centre mid for me..

Re: Are we looking forward to the Championship?
I did much prefer watching Championship on Quest , or wherever it is now. No Lineker , no Wankhard , no MOTD ....what's not to like there . This though is in no way going to be a stroll in the park , there's a lot to sort out with this club before the season starts and as it's Leeds you just know it's not going to be straightforward .
Would like to see some of the younger , more hungry for success players get a crack this time. Most of Ortas buys have proven to be failures pretty much , but as he isn't involved any more , I would say that's a huge positive .......let's just say it again ....NO MORE ORTA. Music to my ears .

Re: Are we looking forward to the Championship?
My hope is that we are much more competitive, play a decent style of football and give our young pups a go to see who can cut it. But a lot needs to happen in a relatively short period of time, so I wouldn't be surprised if things are a little bumpy initially.
Faaip, I'm interested in who you see as being our back four. I'd be happy enough with Drameh-Cresswell-Wober-Hjelde, but I'm not sure any new manager will pitch three of that four straight in, and we might lose Wober.

Re: Are we looking forward to the Championship?
Diaz & Gyorkes are proven in the champs & would be decent signings. Signing Che Adams would be dependent on whether the Saints retain or sell Nathan Tella ( I'd consider him) after his successful loan season at Burnley, 17 goals in 39 games. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 12:48 pm I always look forward to Leeds games whereever we play ...I'm also hoping we keep a lot of players. A goalscoring central midfielder is essential. Can't believe we played without one for two seasons in the PL.
Re: Are we looking forward to the Championship?
I'm not that bothered about being in the PL unless it's with billionaire owners because that's the only way to prosper in that league otherwise it's a battle against relegation every season and where's the fun in that. Championship for me .

MOTD was unbearable & the arrogance of Orta was mind-boggling.Clacton White wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 12:58 pm I did much prefer watching Championship on Quest , or wherever it is now. Our hungry players & fans can make the championship fun!
Re: Are we looking forward to the Championship?
Nope, not really. Boring, but so is the PL tbh.
I just want to see homegrown talents wearing the shirt again. Cresswell and Gray should be fixtures in the side.

Re: Are we looking forward to the Championship?
A decent back-four, Nick, three of them played at championship level & performed well apparently.lufc1304 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 1:01 pm My hope is that we are much more competitive, play a decent style of football and give our young pups a go to see who can cut it. Hoping we keep Wober, we could lose Drameh too.
Re: Are we looking forward to the Championship?
Really looking forward to it personally. Who knows we may even win a lot of games again. Make a statement of intent by bringing Rogers in, he will let the board know quickly what players he needs and then he will set about implementing an attacking style that sets us apart in the Championship. Simples!
It will give me peace and quite at work cos the lads at work don't want to converse with anyone in the Championship... Its beneath them. EIEIEIO

I like what you’ve listed above, but it’s all the night games I’m not looking forward to, hate them with a passion, not to mention road closures on the motorway on the journey home.
I will admit though, in answer to the thread title, yes I am.

I'd forgotten about the road closures which seem to be a constant around Elland Road.
I recall travelling back from a London away game & having to do a detour through Nottingham city-centre I reckoned on arriving home at 3am, because of the diversion. I didn't get back home until 4.30am. I'm getting too old for all that aggravation now.
Anyway, the night games/travelling home is a negative, so I couldn't include it in my opening post.
Re: Are we looking forward to the Championship?
Its a gamble that back four. Altho i haven't seen much of either Dramah, Cresswell & Hjelde there doesn't seem a lot of pace and i don't know if there is a ball player amongst them all. But still this is the championship.lufc1304 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 1:01 pm My hope is that we are much more competitive, play a decent style of football and give our young pups a go to see who can cut it. Re: Are we looking forward to the Championship?
absolutely not , its like eating out at fancy restaurants for three years , then been asked to go to a foodbank every week .
returning to the championship after spending sixteen years trying to get out of it , sums up the way this club has been run since radrizaani took over . the championship is a dog eat dog league , unless the club is set up properly with enough quality in each position , we wont have a cat in hells chance of getting out of it . leeds will be everybodies elses cup final and every club will raise their game against us . radrizaani will probably pocket the parachute payments , and sell off anybody of any value , and bring players of less ability to the at a far cheaper price thats been his policy from day one . until radrizaani goes i dont envisage a quick return to the premier league anytime soon .
leeds should be competing in the premier league not going back to the days of playing on tuesday nights at the likes of plymouth and stoke but unfortunately we have found our level once again

We should be considering Joel Piroe at Swansea as wellThe Subhuman wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 12:48 pm I always look forward to Leeds games whereever we play ...I'm also hoping we keep a lot of players. I'm not one for burn it down start again as it almost never works ....

Re: Are we looking forward to the Championship?
Perversely yes.
However if we don’t get things sorted pronto it maybe a bit of a butt clencher to start with.
I can at least start regularly watching MOD again.
New owner, new manager, new striker, new defensive midfielder. The U21s making the grade. No problem
