Good interview as usual, says all the right things but I think we can all see the difference in the players from this time last season. Need to get off to a good start, not a better ground in the country than ER when we’re winning but can be tough when we’re not and need to end the booing of Aaronson & Wober. Agree with G&W about this being DF’s last chance, he’s never going to get a better chance of promotion than this season. Would still like to see a couple of signings but can’t wait for Saturday

Yes Cussie  , in an ideal world we get a couple more players in, and ones that can make a difference if called upon, not just bench warmers.
But if we dont, and that might well happen then we have to accept that and back the team and manager, which im sure the vast number of sensable and level headed Leeds fans will do. Not get all negative and moan like a spoilt child who was caught in the wrong but still says " it wasnt me " :)
And with a good manager, which i believe Farke is at this level, plus having a good squad, you still have to rely on a bit of luck sometimes, so hopefully we get our fair share of that, this season.

Nice to know Wober and Aaronson have sworn their allegiance

Hasn't ruled out any outgoings. Nobody pushing for a transfer. But admitting it could still happen

Faith in Debayo as a back up. He mentioned Debayo and Crew as projects for this season

Farke was most strict with Archie last year and that turned out well…

Best pre-season we've had in years.

Every player fit to start the new season. :-D

Better equipped now than 12 months ago?

Advantage now is the players and staff know our values, ow we want to play, our processes. Good basement to build on. Much better with the uncertainty of last season. The group is better. Just speak about this at the end of the season. Will be difficult to improve on 90 points. Far from celebrating this group too much.
I said this for weeks, contrary to some on here disagreeing with me.

Difficult to say better equipped, but the situation is much better

The situation is better he's saying (assuming no more surprises) and players not wanting to leave.

But I don't think he's claiming its a better squad because it isn't.

90 points siren didn't take long either

Interesting Wober walked out on us last season after the season started having said he'd stay but it's still Gnonto gets blamed for being a kid basically. I'm ok with Wober staying but he's back up CB for me should he stay, still think he'll be tempted back to Germany though

A good option for replacing Cooper, and if either of Rodon/Struijk pick-up an injury.

I'm not one of them.

I think this group, as a unit, is better than last year's. Based on what I've seen in the preseason, the whole seems to be greater than the sum of the parts. They're playing beautifully as a unit.

Wober will get used a lot more than Cooper. Firstly, he'll legitimately be pushing for a 1st team spot, which Cooper wasn't. Second, he can cover LB and Def Mid (useful off the bench). Third, if there's an injury to the first two CB's, it will be Wober rather than Ampadu. Cooper was behind Ampadu at CB, therefore 4th choice. Wober, even if on the bench, will likely play a part in every game.

Can Wober play right side?

I'm happy Wober & Aaronson have committed themselves to Farke's army.

For me, it's like having two new signings, both internationals, too.

I admit I was disappointed to hear, "It will be tough to beat 90 points."

But we do have more quality players than last season. We don't have depth on the bench (yet) but we do have quality. If the starting line up is the same as Valencia, Piroe, Wober, Byram, Aaronson, Bamford, Rothwell offer better back up options. I do say that with the caveat that we need 2 or 3 more back ups.

Bogle should be a better RB than Archie was last season
Rothwell offers us a better 3rd midfielder option than Kamara
Summerville weakens us (but we do have 2 excellent wingers)
Rutter should improve this season
Joseph's development improves our striker options - with Piroe probably becoming a 10
Wober offers better than Cooper off the bench

The only loss we made was Summerville. While we've gained more in quality back up options.

Our only needs right now are back ups for FB, Wing, and Mid. But we already have a quality group of 18.
