To me? Yes ... I think SU have players away too it shouldn't be an excuse
Do Sheff Utd have 3 players from their starting eleven playing either tonight, or the early hours of tomorrow morning and then having a 12 hour flight to London Heathrow ?
Plus after landing at Heathrow it's another 5 hours back to Yorkshire meaning you're absolutely bloody knackered by the time you get home.

But we knew they were internationals... It's what comes of buying Japanese/American players that are good and leaving your squad extremely thin in the process.

Very sad re George Baldock. First game for the blades since. They will be well up for this more than ever now, just like Greece were v England. I can't see us winning this one.....sorry
Unfortunately I agree, from memory we don't seem to do well against the blades and my pessimistic side sees a narrow defeat Of course hope I am completely wrong !

Flaming Friday night games, early set off to avoid the Friday night rush hour
A pain in the butt, Kev. Then there is arriving home way after midnight. I have to give someone a lift home after we depart off our coach, which puts another ten minutes on my journey.
I couldn't do away games any more, too knackering, even though I'm fitter than ever! Though, you don't get fit sitting on long coach journeys.
Seems Blunts don't have lots of the ball but are quite direct and aggressive.
Press high out of possession and put in lots of tackles, get the ball forward quickly, quite happy to go long.
Opposite to us actually in some ways.
We never go long really, we don't go forward quickly that much.
Interesting clash of styles.
Whilst they should have conceded more than they have probably they shouldn't have conceded much so for a team that doesn't have much of the ball they must be quite organised out of possession and in how they win the ball back.
They could be ideal for us if we beat the press, or they could be a nightmare sitting deep whilst we ehave 70% of meaningless possession then smack us on the break a few times and score 2 or 3 goals.

Try setting off at 4.30am to catch the 1st Aer Lingus flight which is then delayed 3 hours then hang around most of Sunday for your return flight which is delayed 1 hr and then Greasyjet decide to measure every single bag so they can charge £40 to put in the hold. Almost caused a riot, the guy in front of me put his bag in the box & the employee kept lifting the handle saying it didn’t fit so the guy pulled the handle off the bag. Another lad pulled out most of the clothes out of his bag & pulled them on, looked like Michelin Man getting on the plane

You are always complaining about something
The flights to and from Leeds/Bradford have always been poor, either time of flights or worse delays. I have given up flying there and now fly to Manchester and take the train to Leeds.
But as you have said before its a costly experience whatever way you go, as it usually involves at least 1 nights accommodation.

I’ve got more time to complain now, used to have to fit it in round work

As the game has been moved forward a day I'm not in agreement regarding we knew they were internationals etc, plus we should be lobbying the EFL to bring in a rule change for Championship clubs who have players on international duty.
Do the PL have any Friday night games immediately after the international break...of course not.

Said it before, but there should be no Friday fixtures after an international break. Put Donny Rovers or Wrexham on Sky instead on the Friday night
And, I agree, we should be able to appeal the advancement of the fixture given the number of players on international duty.

Definitely an argument for filling your squad with "grizzled championship bastards"

Unfortunately clubs have taken the SKY money Andrew. They have no argument. I agree that something should be done to stop these ridiculous re-scheduled games but I fear it's too late. Money talks. SKY undid us last season and it will be the same this. I said as much when asked where we might finish this season. SKY will have a massive impact on our fortunes.

It's easily fixed by the EFL making a rule that there will be no Friday night Championship fixtures immediately after international breaks due to the large number of international players that now play in the Championship.

Sky would simply have to follow the rule.
Not sure 07. EFL have made a deal with Sky so that they can arrange games for TV viewing. I think their hands are tied until the next contract renewal. If it were possible then the Champions clubs should be lobbying the EFL.
I have no issue with Friday games other than it makes the rest of the weekend anti climactic. Don't have any issues with Friday games after an International break either..
Roll on Friday, can't come quick enough
