I actually noticed that nobody was selling poppies at the ground yesterday, appreciate it’s a week early but more sales = more money for our heroes.

Wrote this today.
They came, they came, I knew they would,
I could not cry, I knew I should,
They knocked the door and looked forlorn,
And spoke the words my heart was torn.

The days and years have gone so slow,
The place he lies I now must go,
In Flanders’s fields the poppies smell,
Where sons and brothers and husbands fell.

As I near my end I won’t forget,
The way I felt when we first met,
But as the sun goes down I sense his ghost,
And finally cry to The Last Post.

We are wearing poppies with pride & out of respect for those who sacrificed their lives from the evil regimes.

There seem to be less and less folk wearing a poppy every year, yet more and more wearing something with a rainbow on, dread to think what will happen if we go to another world war.
