Millwall v Leeds United
6th November 7:45pm | The Den

In-form Leeds face a tricky trip down to Bermondsey on Wednesday evening, home of Neil Harris' Millwall. Daniel Farke's side are on an unbeaten run of eight straight games and are the only team in the Championship unbeaten away from home. The game itself won't be straight forward. The hosts have been in fine form as of late, winning their last three games, most noticeably last weekend against Burnley.

The Whites have won four out their last five meetings against the Lions. Piroe's brace followed by Rutter's thunderbolt in the last encounter at the Den (last season) have hopefully given them the confidence they need to tame the Lions. But let's not forget, history and form often have an odd relationship in football. Daniel Farke isn't expected to make too many changes to the team that destroyed Plymouth at the weekend. Joshua Guilavogui and Manor Solomon will continue to pick up minutes in their quest for peak fitness.

Right wing-back Jaidon Boyle will return to action after his one match ban, with Sam Byram returning to the bench. Max Wober could return to the bench after his thigh injury. Strikers Joe Gelhardt and Patrick Bamford continue to nurse knocks and are unlikely to make the trip. Ilea Gruev and Ethan Ampadu are ruled out until after Christmas.

Lions duo Tom Bradshaw (striker) and Adam Mayor (winger) are both recovering from hamstring injuries, and are not expected back in action until after the International break. Left-back Joel Byran serves a one-match suspension after picking up his fifth booking of the season against the Clarets. Midfielder Billy Mitchell (thigh) remains doubtful, whilst Shaun Hutchinson and Josh Coburn (both back injuries) are pushing for a return to action.

Good news that Bradshaw is missing for them. I think he as their top scorer last season (without checking)

I seem to recall it was his dive that got Berardi sent off...

Watched the Millwall win over Burnley. They'll be a real threat from free kicks and corners. Jake Cooper is an absolute thug and loves to grapple with keepers.

Hopefully, Wall will be knackered after their exertions against Burnley on Sunday.

That's a good point. We can't afford to give silly free kicks away in dangerous areas as they'll be looking for set pieces.

Paramount+ isn't streaming the game today and I can't risk any of the other available streams on my work computer.

And I thought this day couldn't get any worse.

Former Senator Al Franken once said of Ted Cruz, "I like Ted Cruz better than my colleagues in the Senate, and I hate Ted Cruz."

That is my fear too. I reckon its the kind of game Rothwell will like though.

If we defend like we have for most of the season so far we should beat this lot. They will be rough and ready and as been mentioned they score from set-pieces. Will they defend or press? probably the former and look to hit us on the break. They are on a decent little run so it should prove to be a good battle. I haven't witnessed a team fit to lace our boots yet and i expect tonight to be no different.

I read that Millwall have picked up only 2 points less than Leeds since Neil Harries took over.
Can see some bookings and fouls in this game, hopefully no-one gets injured.

I read some dodgy post about Joe Rothwell and dispossession stats against Plymouth.

According to a reputable online statistical source with no grudge, axe to grind or general bias.

Rothwell made 22 passes into the final third
Wasn’t dispossessed once
Lost 3 and won 3 duels
Passing accuracy of 89%

He was the highest rated Leeds player ironically.

Darn, only have the Sunderland game on in the US via Paramount Plus. Enjoy the midweek watch! Will be glued to the thread for real time updates.
