Archie/Charlie/Max tranfers

Post by 1964white »

Hayden Evans (Player agent/Staunch Leeds fan) reveals all after all the nonsense spoken on here about the Gray family.

I worked with Hayden at Barkers music store on The Headrow, Leeds, back in the mid-70's. He was a very good-looking lad when he was a 16yo, the young lasses at the store used to drool over him. A good lad, I always wonder how his career had progressed. I spoke to him over the phone in the early 2000s.

A good interview!

Listen from 27 minutes onwards about the transfers.

TRUTH REVEALED.

No

Don't tend to watch the blogs, don't have patience for it.

May skim through later.

But I'd imagine it was Archie was delighted to go and so was Charlie.

The agent isn't going to say anything to offend his current club is he

I watched it but as cjay says, he's only putting his view on things, whether an agentis telling the truth or not.......you decide, he knows which side his bread is buttered though.

Watch the bleeding blog. I've made it easy for you all by listening from 27 minutes onwards.

We have patience with you, reading your similar posts every day.

Dan & Michael are respect LUFC fans, both season-ticket holders from the year dot, who have worked in journalism prior to TSB. They are not fans who sit in the bedrooms making stories up.

Of course, they are telling the truth.

Hayden, Andy Gray & Richard Cresswell have a very close working relationship over several decades as agents.

No, I'd rather take the word of a highly respected figure like David Ornstein who has no dog in the fight

The reason they have the likes of ex-LUFC players, Kinnear, respected journalists, agents on their shows is because of their stature in the Leeds United world.

No issue with Dan or Michael, I actually meant I wouldn't trust a word a football agent said.

It's all completely irrelevant now anyway.

But David Ornstein who is the most respected football journalist in the country already said his piece and thats good enough for me.

Yet you have much greater patience for your own voice

Seriously though, The Square Ball and Don't Go To Bed are very well informed and very level headed in expressing opinions. Neither one gets hysterical or over speculative. They both have really tight contacts with the club and other people close to the club.

I was labouring through this one a bit (in two instalments so far). I was getting a bit bored with all the talk about his personal stuff. But thanks for the heads up. I'll be sure to go back and finish it. Otherwise I might have just ditched it.

Would much rather spend my days listening to what they have to say than the endless speculative blogs across the wb. Most of which just regurgitate what they hear on those podcasts. And most of which pick up on a single idea from those podcasts and respin or mis-spin it.

Thinking specifically about whether Solomon should be ditched in January. Popey was talking about that on DGTBJY. And, those that listen to the podcast know he dismissed the idea pretty quickly. Yet other podcasts and bloggers picked it up and ran with the idea that DGTBJY suggested Solomon loan could be terminated.

Better to listen to the quality stuff than any other carp out there

Forums are worse than the bloggers with their views on Soloman & Farke.

I wasn't having a go at the podcast.

I was saying I wouldn't trust a single word a football agent says.

Dan Moylan posts on Waccoe, it's quite interesting to hear his perspective and what he's heard and such.

I just dont like podcasts, I skim them at best.

Good info

Kills a lot of the myths. Especially on Archie. He was going to the premier league this season, either with Leeds or with someone else if Leeds didn't get promoted

Farke liked Shackleton and was willing to offer a 1 year deal. But Shacks wanted more playing time

Cresswell would have stayed at Leeds this season to be on the bench. But he knew that he wasn't fancied so moved on

And Max Dean was always going to have to make a drop down if he wanted his career to progress (a bit like Lief Davis)
