I'll kick it off with this.

Linked with this chap in quite a reliable and very popular apparently Israeli media source.

Obviously lots of page fillers in media this time of year but not an unreliable source tbf.
21 year old striker/winger Dor Turgeman.

Full international, teammate of Manor Solomon.

4 goals and 2 assists in the Europa League this season.

And it has to be said, exactly the sort of signings Red Bull clubs make.

Can we change the name the title of this thread to "Players we won't sign in January"

Another link from the same source as the first.

Israel defensive midfielder Mahmoud Jaber

Say we have an interest but no bid yet.

Pinch of salt of course.

But the very first report of any interest in Solomon came from this Israeli source

In the League 1 thread, I have Wycombe (on 64’s recommendation) who are top of the table.

They have a 21 year old centre forward who is scoring goals for fun called Richard Kone.

Wycombe plucked him from obscurity and he is very raw with lots of development potential. Has that awkward gangly look that Georgino had when he first joined us and his legs were disconnected from the rest of his body movements.

The lad knows how to score - got a 9 min right foot, left foot, header hat trick this season.

Would be amazed if Wycombe manage to hang onto him and would not break the bank.

I would like my Mrs. to buy me a Bugati Veyron Super Sport Sang Noir for my birthday in January but like the Leeds fan base I think I will be disappointed.

DF has already said we have no need to go shopping in January as we have all squad bases covered.

So this thread will be given over to who our competitors are buying and that Ampadu will be like a new signing.

The thinking maybe we have enough to get up, so why spend on players that will not be Premiership level?

We need a genuine 10, loan or buy, I don't care, but I think a new Pablo would make the difference for us, especially in games where we struggle against the low block.

Not a chance, I say we should do a straight swap, Bamford for Salah while Pool are haggling over his contract. 😁

That's key for me too. Anyone we sign now needs to be able to adapt to the premier league. Probably what Farke means by "Only if the right player becomes available,"

Said it before we need players to get us out of this league THEN with the premiership money you buy better players

Straight out of the Mel Morris handbook. It might be worth reading about that strategy and how it played out.

He has a point.

Last season Farke told us near the start of the season the reason we went for younger players with more potential because he didn't want to have to take the "easy route" of buying older players you'd have to replace once promoted.

Then of course that changed to we didn't have enough grizzled Championship barstewards like Luongo and Morsy apparently.

I think you worry about the league you are in first, not the league you want to be in.

Orta had this problem.

He was obsessed with finding the next big thing for 2,3 years time.

Forgot about the present.

1 or 2 players signed in January to get us out the league shouldn't break the bank

You don’t buy bums on seats in January. The summer window was the time for doing the necessary business. What realistically are we going to be able to add this window.

Besides the Left field Israeli forward that apparently has legs, we will get someone in on loan if Joffy goes out, if there is a player that can add value to the team rather than the treatment room, or there is a very good purchase option on a player that is available now.

I expected you to reply that he has a point.

In my view as you and many others often repeat we have the best squad in the league, the most expensive assembled squad ever at this level etc. Why then would we need to add more bodies if the first two statements are true.

Farke has all the tools at his disposal to get us out of this league and if he fails to do so it is not because he did not sign anyone in this window or that we haven’t got a proven 10. It will be down to his use of the squad tactically and an inability to get the best out of it.
