What’s good on TV
Apologies if there is already a similar thread (and I’m sure there is, I simply can’t find it).
AMERICAN PRIMEVAL on Netflix. Wow. I’ve just binged all 6 episodes in one sitting (my bum is numb).
A Western, very similar in quality and storytelling to REVENANT (also wow) it relates parallel tales of two strong women trying to survive the civil war conflict between the US Army and the Mormons. I didn’t know this history but it seems the Osmonds weren’t the worst thing these guys inflicted on the world.
A good cast, one of those where you recognise the actor but can’t actually name most of them without the aid of IMDB.

Don’t cry because you said goodbye to your pet, smile because you said hello

I’ll give those a go OB, not sure I could suffer 6 episodes in a row though. If you like cowboy themed series then Yellowstone with Kevin Costner on Paramount+ and the spin-offs 1883, 1923 & 1944 aren’t a bad watch. Recently watched Landman with Billy Bob Thornton about US oil workers, worth a go as well.Orange Box wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2025 11:12 am Apologies if there is already a similar thread (and I’m sure there is, I simply can’t find it).

Finally got round to starting The Walking Dead, if you don’t like blood & gore give it a miss, some of the special effects will certainly keep you awake at night.

Seen em all mate. LANDMAN currently. on paraplus also by same writer as above, Taylor Sheridan. Not on the same epic scale as Yellowstone etc but still worth a watch.CUSSIE01 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2025 11:53 am I’ll give those a go OB, not sure I could suffer 6 episodes in a row though. Landman is definitely worth a watch. I didn't think it would have been my cup of tea but watched it cos I like Billy Bob Thornton. Great writing and a great cast.Orange Box wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2025 1:56 pm Seen em all mate. LANDMAN currently. on paraplus also by same writer as above, Taylor Sheridan.
