UK team
As I posted a thread about the Scottish team of the 70s, and mentioned Wales also had great individuals, imagine what sort of team the UK could throw up, or even the UK and Ireland !!
Quite possibly a world beating side could be picked from them of certain eras.
Pick your team please.

I don't really feel qualified as I wasn't born
What about people like Linekar and Shilton and Keegan?
Always curious about Linekar it's never really discussed anymore how good a player he was.
How good was he?

There is no way you could omit Matthews, Charles, Banks, Bremner, Giles, Lorimer, Best, Law & Bobby Charlton out of a UK team, and probably a few more!!!

Can tell you’re only a pup, it’s Lineker not Linekar
Don’t cry because you said goodbye to your pet, smile because you said hello
Re: UK team
Excellent finisher, made lots of runs off the defender’s shoulder or was usually in the right place at the right time around the six yard box but outside the box, forget it.
In fact he’d tell you that himself.
