I know they are internationals for a reason..... But my god do they look tired right now to a man.
13 players called up....... Most will play. Is this a weakness with us having such a small squad with the amount of games they have to play in the championship?
Really think they need to reevaluate internationals at this critical point in the season.
International players a weakness in the championship?

Re: International players a weakness in the championship?
100% a weakness in having a small squad, it will be a right old laugh if we fail to get promotion again this time around if we have players on international duty coming back with injuries.
The manager really needs to be having a little chat with them, I would, I would be stating they might not get another opportunity of PL football like this one, and lets face it, some of the players themselves will need to honest and realise they won't be at PL level for too long, they'll more than likely get more chances for their respective countries.

Not sure who all have been picked but surely if Gnonto, Schmidt, Joseph etc were to get game time it would be a good thing (unless they get injured).
Going to be reading the match reports that feature our players in fear of an injury and won’t settle until they’re all back fit & training.

Re: International players a weakness in the championship?
It has been said many times that players would prefer to play rather than train, but for me the issue is them being away and also the travelling involved.
From a coaching perspective players not being available for tactical preparation is another factor which annoys me.
Burnley have 4 away this time

Re: International players a weakness in the championship?
International games aren't really the problem as all top teams are full of players good enough to be selected by their countries, plus they all play Champions League football as well. Cumulative minutes over a season counts more but again with periods of rest at the right times that can be managed.
Suppose the question is whether Farke is experienced enough at managing international players ? Especially when you play in a League where you have more internationals than your rivals.

Re: International players a weakness in the championship?
It's not a weakness
If anything it shows the strength of the squad.
15 International players which is 10 more than Burnley who themselves have a very strong squad.
It shows the depth we have.
Managing the squads minutes and taking into account International call ups is just part of a managers job.
If it becomes a problem that's down to bad management not having basically better players than your rivals being called up to International teams.
