Playoffs & Relegation.
Play Offs & Relegation
Playoffs - Who would we like to be promoted alongside Leeds & Burnley & why ? Sheffield United & Sunderland are guaranteed a playoff spot with Bristol City & Coventry currently in 5th & 6th but teams down to 10th can still make the final 4.
Relegation - Plymouth, Cardiff & Luton are currently the bottom three but teams as high as 16 are still mathematically able to go down. Anyone have a preference on who goes down ?

Well, I don't want Wilder's wobbling blunts coming up.
I'd prefer whoever finishes 5th or 6th to fluke themselves towards the Premier League.
Plymouth, Cardiff, Luton, Oxford, Derby & Stoke (probably safe) are the worst teams I've seen this season, so take your pick from any of those six clubs.
For four of my good friends & Joffy's sake, I hope Hull survive.

Personally I’d prefer Sunderland to win the playoffs but they’ve coasted the last month or two and it will be hard for them to rediscover that winning instinct in time for the playoffs. I’d put my money on Bristol city right now and I’d be fairly happy with that

Anyone but Coventry to accompany us to the Premier League, don’t want to see Lampard celebrating.
Like to see Derby go down, as I remember Lampard celebrating in the Playoffs at ER.

Bristol City would be my choice, we should finish above them in the Prem and that’d only leave 2 to worry about.WhiteRose wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 2:46 pm Personally I’d prefer Sunderland to win the playoffs but they’ve coasted the last month or two and it will be hard for them to rediscover that winning instinct in time for the playoffs. I’m glad Burnley got promoted along with us, they were my Dad’s team so still have a soft spot for them but hopefully we’d finish above them as well., 1 to go.

As another well supported club and family connections, I'd go sunderland, but, after 1973 I say bristol, not that I'm bitter mind.WhiteRose wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 2:46 pm Personally I’d prefer Sunderland to win the playoffs but they’ve coasted the last month or two and it will be hard for them to rediscover that winning instinct in time for the playoffs. I have a mate who’s a Derby supporter, would love to see them relegated when we’re going up, not that I’d mention itBarlow Boy wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 2:49 pm Anyone but Coventry to accompany us to the Premier League, don’t want to see Lampard celebrating.

Their fans were giving it to us big style at Elland Road that night.
We’d have done the same, of course, but life comes at you fast and I’d love to see them go down again.

Re: Playoffs & Relegation.
Bristol City for playoffs.
Fans have basically had nothing to cheer for ages so would be nice.
Liam Manning the manager lost his son last year so would be nice to end the season on a positive (obviously nothing to losing a child).
Derby for relegation, not really fussed who else, but would like Plymouth to survive as think the manager has done well

Re: Playoffs & Relegation.
I’m still surprised that Luton are in the bottom 3 after finishing 10 points ahead of Sheff United & 2 ahead of Burnley last season. They still have to play Coventry & West Brom, both still aiming for the playoffs.Barlow Boy wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 4:05 pm.

Re: Playoffs & Relegation.
I want whoever has the least resources to win the playoffs… hopefully that will make it difficult for them to survive in the PL.
That could be one of three teams we need to finish below us next year.
Man U and Spurs won’t be as bad again and some of the usual relegation candidates have improved considerably.
