The Weather
Couldn’t find a thread dedicated to the weather so thought it deserved one. I can’t remember a sunnier start to the year in Northern Ireland and it seems to be the same all over the UK. Is it solely down to global warming or just a freak summer ? Anyway, off to the beach with the pup & a picnic

Re: The Weather
Glorious here in Sunny Suffolk cussie. Didnt take houndie out yesterday as too hot. Will try and find a shady walk for him today, he's a 35 kilo Basset Hound and doesn't enjoy the heat at all! We've had loads of BBQs already though...

Re: The Weather
Gorgeous here and looks to be for at least the next week and a half.
Bit worrying now, no real rain for 5 or 6 weeks and resevoir levels were already 10% down on last year two months ago.

Re: The Weather
Gorgeous here too, just parked up in our next village & a had nice walk to the Garden Centre for coffee & slice of drizzle cake.
I've never been so tanned by this time of year.
I love the thought of wearing as least clothes as possible, shorts & t-shirts every day for the last couple of months.
We don't have anywhere near the rainfall here on the East coast as the West side of the UK experiences.

Re: The Weather
Brilliant weather but we do need rain, and lots of it, hopefully at night
I was across IOM at the beginning of May and it was dry there as well, like Ireland and the west coast of England, exceptional weather.
We are an Island , we are surrounded by water but are clueless with de-salinisation , but we are exceptional at letting little boats in
Last weekend I did 30 miles (roughly 15 each day) walking across the moors up Grassington and Kilnsey moor, then round the river Nidd the 2nd day..

Re: The Weather
It is indeed Swannie.
I did a 65 mile cycle sportive on Sunday and was absolutely bollocksed at the end of it due to the heat.

Re: The Weather
Scorcher here today Swannie, probably the hottest this year although the Atlantic was as bitter cold as ever, there are parts of my body I probably won’t see for a fortnight. As you can see our young man loves the beach.

I’m with you BB, bloody things slapping off the soles of your feet. Better with a pair of leather sandals and a pair of white socks pulled up to your knees.Barlow Boy wrote: ↑Tue May 13, 2025 12:47 pm Never really got on with flip flops Swannie, hurts my toes.
