Billy Bremner Statue Appeal
Billy Bremner Statue Appeal
HI everyone, I am involved in a project to get a statue for Billy in his hometown of Raploch, Stirling in Scotland. Please see the link below and if you wish to be involved as an ambassador helping to raise funds for the statue, then please use the contact form for more information.
Billy Bremner to be commemorated in his hometown – chosen artist’s reveal
The Scottish Football Supporters Association, in partnership with Leeds United Supporters Groups, Raploch Community Council, University of Stirling, Stirling Community Enterprise, Tartan Army Magazine and Stirling Council are excited to announce Kenny Hunter as the chosen artist for a statue to be commissioned honouring the late Billy Bremner in the town he grew up. The memorial would hopefully be positioned near to where Bremner grew up on Weir Street, round the corner from the Raploch Community Campus near Stirling. Kenny’s vision for the memorial was a unanimous decision.

Brilliant as Billy was I can't see this getting off the ground, firstly he left Scotland as a teenager so few people of Stirling will even recall him signing for Leeds as it was just over 65 years. Though my brother and I were already watching United. at the start of his wonderful career I don't think there will be even many Leeds fans around who actually saw him play.they would have to be at least 60 or so. Billy B. certainly deserved a statue but I cant canny folks of Elland Road forking out money for this project.

Whisky should always be drunk with water, every connoisseur knows that. It lifts the flavours of the whisky.

Hard to believe but I’m not a whisky drinker so it’s wasted on me. Swannie & MC can have my share. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Thu May 22, 2025 2:17 pm Whisky should always be drunk with water, every connoisseur knows that. It lifts the flavours of the whisky.

Absolutely. The only water to go anywhere near whisky is added at the beginning.
