MOT forum best left back final
Ruud Krol
You could argue that Krol was Maldini before Maldini. A player comfortable in multiple positions with practically zero weaknesses. A man who won everything you could win in club football and got close internationally as well.
Paolo Maldini
The complete defender who adapted from a World class left back to a World class centre back in the same career and played in 2 top Milan sides many years apart. His consistent and career length are practically unmatched.

Both my nominations makes it very tough, Krol played in one of the three top teams in international history, the 74 Holland team that re-wrote the rules
Maldini though wins here

Maldini for me, very close though.
Football is 90% mental, the other half is physical.

Tough on Krol, part of the total football revolution, but it has to be Maldini.

I'm sure Krol was a fine player but has to be Maldini.

Thanks to those who voted.
The legendary Maldini joins his long time International teammate Gianluigi Buffon in our all time 11.
