Relegation fears after nine games - Poll of the Day (31st Oct)
Wolves haven't won a game this season.
Forest hasn't won since the first day of the season (8 games).
West Ham haven't won in their last six games.
All three teams have an inferior goal difference in comparison to Leeds
In contrast, Leeds have won three of their nine games.
All four teams have difficult fixtures this weekend.
Also, Burnley & Fulham (lost their last four games) are still below us.

Still too early but we'll know a lot more after the next 10 games.
That's why I'm in the don't know camp.

Worried.
17th is good enough.
There are at least 3 teams worse than us as it stands but expect at least 1 of them to make a run.
Would like to have see Burnley dropping more points than they have.

Worried, be foolish not to be, but I do think we'll be ok. Wolves and West Ham are really poor, though I do expect Dyche to turn things around a bit at Forest. We just have to ensure we are the fourth worst team in the league. And I'd be happy with that, it's all about getting a foothold. From memory, December looks like being a brutal month for us, so we do need to be gathering up whatever points we can before then. Going to be long, tough season, but we knew that and I do think we'll have enough to stay up.

Voted, Apprehensive/Don't know simply because its far too early and as we all know football can be very unpredictable.
We have a squad that can compete with the bottom half teams in this league, but that will also depend on having our fair share of luck and avoiding injuries to key players. I just hope with the tough run of games that are coming up in December that our goal difference doesnt become a concern.
As for being WORRIED...why, its only football

Went apprehensive/don't know.
Done ok so far.
But between now and January we have some very difficult fixtures.
I also expect Dyche to improve Forest and wouldn't be shocked of Nuno finally got some form out of West Ham.
Wolves look doomed but Perreira did turn them around last season after an equally awful start.

The issue is going to be DF does not like to change players OR formation and when we play the top 6 teams we need a different approach i.e. 5-4-1GreennWhite wrote: ↑Fri Oct 31, 2025 10:29 am Voted, Apprehensive/Don't know simply because its far too early and as we all know football can be very unpredictable.

Apprehensive/don’t know sums it up for me, been a Leeds supporter too long to get overly worried either way.

So what mindset are you in, Faaip?
Re: Relegation fears after nine games - Poll of the Day (31st Oct)
I'll be Mr Positive & vote for the first option.
However, come the end of December, I might be tearing my hair out. Cue Hector!

Re: Relegation fears after nine games - Poll of the Day (31st Oct)
A waiting approach, I can't be worried as I've already said we didn't do enough in the summer by a long way. We have a fairly weak squad and are reliant on hard work for the most part. To stay up we have to overcome that, it may also be a case of not in our own hands but rather hoping others fail...which it looks like could happen tbf. Wolves, Forest and West Ham have all incurred self inflicted wounds they might struggle to overcome and if they do it maybe to late.
We've had a fairly easy schedule up to now so again it's a waiting thing to see where we are after we balance that out. I'm not of the mind we've played well up to now, (that's probably against forum thinking,) we've been scrappy, hard working and physical without a lot of creativity. That goes away quickly when events, the fans and the media turn against you. Get nothing from the Villa-Liverpool run and that could start to happen. 4 points before the next break would be nice

We are in a 14 team league and a 6 or 7 team min-league.
. My expectation of points v Top 6 is zero. Anything above that is a bonus.

I voted the second option. I think we are good enough to survive based on what I have seen but I am worried about our goal threat but do think that will improve when James and Gnonto are available.
We seem to have been a bit more vulnerable defensively of late too but am hopeful we will improve at both ends of the pitch.
