Should Justin replace either Bogle or Gudmundsson? - Poll Of The Day (18th Nov)
This is a position where a change probably isn't required.
Gudmundsson is arguably our star man along with Rodon, this season.
Bogle hasn't shown anywhere near his best form against Premier League opposition, of course that applies to many of our championship players
Average season ratings
5.6 - Gudmundsson
5.0 - Bogle
5.6 - Justin (five sub appearances)
If you vote YES for a change, you have two options, who does Justin replace?

No, Struijk should replace Bijol though.
Football is 90% mental, the other half is physical.

No, not at the moment but I'm sure DF will monitoring it.
Bogle has been well below his best but he's having to do a lot more defending which isn't his strength.

No, two of our best players.
Re: Should Justin replace either Bogle or Gudmundsson? - Poll Of The Day (18th Nov)
I'd be happy to see Justin given a chance at right back and we've shipped so many goals that Bogle could have no complaints. Sometimes it's just about trying to find the right balance and so it's worth a try.
Re: Should Justin replace either Bogle or Gudmundsson? - Poll Of The Day (18th Nov)
Not at the moment for either of them.
Both play as a wing-back rather than than a full-back, so both are going to be caught out at various times, it’s the nature of the position.

I would like to see what Justin can do tbh, Bogle has not been very good this season and we paid more money for Justin. Which seems to be the only reason Bijol starts over Struijk

I went no simply because I'm unconvinced that Justin, as another wingback, will be any more effective at the defensive side of things. We knew going into this season that Bogle would be tested more and, whilst he is struggling a bit, I'd rather a settled back four and keeper that can develop a relationship and hopefully work out where the improvements are needed themselves.
Oh and Gudmundsson should only be replaced if injured or a card away from a ban, has been arguably our best player so far.

Glad you have noticed, Chilli, your comment is bang on with regard to Bogle having to defend much more this season. Jammy & Faaip also noticed Bogle's downturn.
I do think Bogle struggles to run/dribble past defenders now, not as easy as he used to when venturing forward against championship defenders.
Nevertheless, I would stick with Bogle & Gudmundsson, especially at ER.

Farke always insists of the need for a solid back four.lufc1304 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 18, 2025 10:02 am I went no simply because I'm unconvinced that Justin, as another wingback, will be any more effective at the defensive side of things. I voted no, but I would like to see what we have in Justin. We spent 10% of our budget on him, I thought he was decent for Leicester when I saw him play last season. It would be for Bogle at the moment, I think Guds has been better defensively. Both have struggled to create going forward, Bogle tries to do too much, Guds need to get his head up and make that final pass which has been lacking so far, he's gotten into great positions but no assists through 10 games

I think Bogle has been more conservative with his forward play this season, I don’t know if he’s been told to do that or not.1964white wrote: ↑Tue Nov 18, 2025 10:23 am Glad you have noticed, Chilli, your comment is bang on with regard to Bogle having to defend much more this season. Maybe it’s a case of if one goes forward, the other hangs back (Bogle or Gudmundsson)
Last season for the most part, we were camped in the opposing half so it was easier.

We're nearly 30% through the season ... goes quick doesn't it?

Just one goal for Bogle (vs Sheff Wed schoolboys) & one assist against the worse team in the PL at Wolves.
