I thought he had a good game, takes a while for a new player to settle and let’s be honest the keeper is probably the most scrutinised position in any team, moreso here considering what has happened during the past 4 seasons.

I would like to see him use his stature more, for a big fella he should be trying to intimidate the opposition. I still feel he could have done better on the 2nd goal. I have watched it back a few times and his foot work was not great which was probably a significant factor in the weak hand he got on the ball. But those types of crosses are not easily dealt with and the outcome is always unpredictable unless you can smother the ball.

Incidentally I would have given him a solid 7.

Positioning is such an easy accusation against a keeper with hindsight. It's usually wrong

Bogle - 6 (had a handful to manage and was getting beat on occasion, but still worked really hard)
Gudmundsson - 7 (nice energy down that left flank)
Ampadu - 7.5 (was all over the pitch…I’d love to see his heatmap)
Rodon - 6 (bad, bad giveaway for the goal, but otherwise decent)
Bijol - 6.5 (best defender before coming off, so edged Joe and Pascal)
Struijk - 6 (think he was the one that bit too soon on Liverpool’s second, otherwise decent)
Gruev - 4.5 (very passive…as in back passive. Think he also might be to blame for Stach’s first half effort)
Stach - 7.5 (tale of two halves…5 for the first and 9+ for the second…)

Okafor - 5 (not his day…ineffective in this one)
