January is a crucial month with 6 PL fixtures plus an FA Cup tie.
Maybe we can somehow can get a couple of deals done early to help the squad.
Yeh right as if that's going to happen

Re: January transfers and squad discussion
Will our board even make an effort this time?
Re: January transfers and squad discussion
We'll be linked with 100s of players that we have absolutely no chance of signing.
Re: January transfers and squad discussion
we have 3 matches before the window opens so i would hope the club has talked with players agents to see if they are willing to join us and informed their club of our interest and asked what price they need to sell or loan us their player on the 1st Jan
Leeds are staying Up Staying Up - OR ARE WE unlikely unless we replace DF asap

Forward-thinking is an asset.
Re: January transfers and squad discussion
Evan Ferguson on loan at Roma and they want to end the loan agreement with Brighton.
He has not rediscovered his form and hasn't sparked on loan at West Ham / Roma but is a good potential fit for us.
Loan deal with Brighton ??

Definately worth a try IMO and I don't think it will break the bank. Loan with an OPTION to buy.

And end up signing somebody we’ve never heard of.
Please don't ever make the mistake of taking me seriously.

Re: January transfers and squad discussion
The upcoming January window will determind whether Leeds are successful in keeping Premier League status. Hopefully the powers that be are already targeting key players ready for when the transfer window opens. Our rivals like West Ham Utd are going to back Nuno and give him funds to strenghten a depleated squad. Leeds need a playmaker. cover on the wing back role, maybe a back up striker that is strong and hold the ball up. One thing is for sure there is no way we can ignore the window and just muddle through. Crucial time that will make or break our season imo

From BBC Gossip who quote "Football Insider"
Leeds United are unlikely to spend about £25m to sign AC Milan and Mexico striker Santiago Gimenez, 24, and will instead eye a short-term loan deal for a new forward during the January window. (Football Insider)

Re: January transfers and squad discussion
I can see us loaning with an obligation to buy if we stay up - hopefully though with relevant conditions such as the player having to make a certain amount of appearances so we avoid a JKA fiasco
