Is a cup shock at Derby on the cards? - Poll of the Day (10th Jan)
Is a cup shock likely?

Always a possibility with us but thankfully its Derby and not Tadcaster Rovers at some little ground in the back of beyond
Re: Is a cup shock at Derby on the cards? - Poll of the Day (10th Jan)
Ive put unsure, as i think we'll win, and my heart always wants us to win but my head says we could do without the distraction

i went for unsure but if DF picks the team i have suggested i think we will win and it rests the players that need a break

We’ll win it, so no.
Is that a good thing? Not so sure.

I think this match is a banana-skin, especially as I expect Farke to pick our championship players (excluding our best ones) vs a championship team.

Went unsure, if I knew what would happen I’d lump the house on it. I’m not even sure a mid placed Championship team beating a lower half Prem team would count as a Cup shock anymore, maybe a slight tremor.
Football is 90% mental, the other half is physical.

The shock will be if Leeds win.
Please don't ever make the mistake of taking me seriously.

Leeds team full of confidence and belief.
Normally I want us to have a go the cups. This season I don’t. Sure fire win therefore.

The woes of being a Leeds fan.
2008/09 Histon (non-league/tier 5) beat Leeds (League One/tier 3) 1–0 in the second round.
2013/14 Rochdale (League Two/tier 4) beat Leeds (Championship/tier 2) 2–0 in the third round.
2016/17 Sutton United (non-league/National League) beat Leeds (Championship) 1–0 in the fourth round.
2017/18 Newport County (League Two) beat Leeds (Championship) 2–1 in the third round.
2020/21 Crawley Town (League Two) beat Leeds (Premier League/tier 1) 3–0 in the third round.

If we acquire 7 or 8 points in our next few games & we have around 30 points on the board by the time of the FA Cup 4th round date on the 14th February, I won't mind us progressing in the FA Cup.

I was at three of them, Histon, Rochdale & Sutton.Sean_Nile wrote: ↑Sat Jan 10, 2026 5:15 pm The woes of being a Leeds fan.

After Sutton, which really hurt me emotionally & financially, I said to myself enough is enough.
Of course, I relented for our Wembley Play-off-Final fiasco vs the Saints.
Haven't seen us win a Final since 1972.

Burnley & Wolves are taking the FA Cup seriously.
I wonder if West Ham will do the same.
