After embarrassing the Toon I had you as certs to beat Palace. Gonna be more interesting if there are more unpredictable games and not many if any, where you won't have a chance to get some points. I think you'll finish 8th this season. Find it hard to get motivated about England other than when they are playing competitive games. Hate these international breaks, utter utter bored.

We’ve seen new teams getting a bounce in the Prem before Anderson only to fall away like stih off a hot shovel, would love to see Hull bucking the trend & staying up though with the likes of Spurs & Villa dropping down.
Once the games start coming thick & fast though Hull will struggle with injuries and a weaker squad, just my tuppence worth.

Typical Leeds we all should better to expect the same performance we had against the Toon, only to play nowhere near our level and come out with a point. Where do we finish? Well I would say 9th as the squad stands, if we make further additions in January we could move up a notch.

The " not expecting to win, so let's give it a go " is their attitude. No pressure and playing without pressure has in itself, benefits. Genuinely believe there isn't a team in the League where you don't think " no reason why we scored against these ". Been saying to my boys the "top six " are good going forward but frankly poor defensively.

Tell you what I do think, finishing 7th is REALLY worth getting. Here's why, I honestly believe 90% of the English teams in the Europa can realistically win it. The prize for winning it?. Champions League football. Leeds and the Toon are perfectly capable of at least, realistically challenging for a top 7 place.

"Daft", agree with this. Caveated by this. Win it > in Europa and win it > Champions League. I think Conference League / Europa are VERY winnable. But some of the Conference teams I'm convinced are nothing but glorified pub teams.

Spotty, yes I would be happy with 12th as it would be an improvement on last season. For us, a lot will depend on injuries. If we can stay relatively injury free, we could sneak a top 10 position.
Aside from Arsenal and City, the PL is much of a muchness this season. Anyone can beat anyone on any given day.

Great points in relation to European footy. I fancy us to finish between 9th and 13th but do think there probably will only be a few points seperating 7th - 15th.

Problem for us Spotty is that we need to build the squad for another year, and being in Europe reduces the SCR revenue pot from 85% to 70%.

A mid-table finish is ok for us this season, leaving us better equipped to go for it next.

If we can improve on last seasons position then that's great. Any position higher than we finished last season has to be seen as job well done. I'm not so sure we can get many more points than last season, even with the players we brought in. What i see happening is we might not pick up wins against the likes of United and Chelsea for example like we did last season, but then pick up points in games were we threw them away, games were we went ahead only to concede and lose out on 2 points. Defensively we are better than we were last season so hopefully that will put us in a good position to stop throwing away points from a winning position.
