Recency bias perhaps, but Joe gets it for me.
Always liked Jansson though.

But I have to vote for Joe who is a big favourite of mine too!

Rodon by a mile.
Jansson would be second yet I still blame him for our promotion run-in collapse v Wigan, Brentford and Sheffield Utd before the ill fated Derby playoff.

Liam Cooper? He was a left sided centre back
This is Rodon by a distance, surprised no Ben White who might get my vote as he was class even if it was for just a season.

Rodon - White - Koch have been our best RCB's in the last 20 yrs imo.. Tell you what though when Llorente played RCB under Bielsa (the first dozen games before injury and Koch taking over) he won a lot of MOTM's here.
Bielsa then shoehorned him in at LCB and as everyone and his mother knows, Llorente can't play left side. Bit like Bijol.

As you posted he only played for us one season on loan. Unfortunately, Brighton was preparing to make big bucks for him.

Well if Kelly can win best RB based on 16 games then I'm sure White's full season would be allowed
Not asking for a restart as I think these polls are a good interesting idea and happy to let it run as is .. I guess White would count as "other"
There's someone else missing? Another loanee, just can't bring his name to mind atm.

Ahh Kyle Bartley, thought he was really good for us and another we failed to get after his loan. Championship proven only, so wouldn't make top 5. I just needed to remember who he was

Llorente was my favourite and a very classy player but somehow he lost his way after a fine first season.
So Rodon gets the vote as he's been doing with us for a few years now.

Do I insert Ben White & Llorente in our left sided CBs to give the poll balance? The Subhuman wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2026 10:23 am Well if Kelly can win best RB based on 16 games then I'm sure White's full season would be allowed

Or I could have a seperate poll for CBs who are not primary right or left footed, which could include the ones I've omitted.

Not sure tbh. Can you not add White and Llorente as posters can change their votes? You can take out a couple like Cooper and Bellusci maybe.

Went for Rodon but similar to others would have been tempted to go Ben White. The only reason Rodon edges it is that he has played in the prem for us whereas White has been messed around by Arsenal predominantly playing as a full back.

From past experiences, it may erase all the votes if I attempt to amend this poll. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2026 11:36 am Not sure tbh. Can you not add White and Llorente as posters can change their votes? You can take out a couple like Cooper and Bellusci maybe.

Like Ayling & Dallas, Joe brings something else to the team other than being a good player, his never say die attitude and willingness to battle through anything has to rub off on those around him so Joe for me.
