Best ever LUFC penalty taker?

So in this scenario

You have 1 penalty.

The goalie is prime Gianluigi Buffon (as he was voted on here best ever goalie).

The penalty will win LUFC the Premier League
Make you a multi millionaire as you bet they would
And earn the club hundreds of millions.

All very nice.

You have to pick 1 player who played for us to take it.

They will be in their prime, peak of their powers player wise.

The obvious answer is Johnny Giles who scored 42 out of 45 penalties but there are others with a higher conversion rate but less attempts.

Up until he missed his last 17 penalties for us it would have been Piroe. Amazing how he went from clinical from the spot, calm and composed to just taking awful penalty after awful penalty.

Probably the only world class player we've had in 60 years and it was a different time in the 70's. I think I remember Lorimer missing two pens in one game as I still recall the rant I had.

It has to be Giles - he could knock them in with ether foot and I think only missed three in forty-nine attempts.

The majority never saw Giles taking penalties, Tom.

Giles - 38 penalties -------- Johnny was at Leeds twelve years showing off his scintillating skills

Raphinha - 4 penalties --- Our only world class player of the modern-era was at Leeds two years before going off to pastures new

By the way all, Johnny Giles was world class just as Raphinha is.
