Bielsa knows we have a problem without his presence in our team.

Struijks best performance in CDM though!

Rodrigo's goal saving him a touch here in the battle for second.. Struijk was much better on the day. I think Muppet said Raph was MOTM by a distance but I think it was Raph and Pascal quite close and then a drop off to the rest

Struijk played as a 3rd CB.

If he did he was playing that role two thirds of the way up the pitch ..

It was three at the back, he won loads of headers

We lined up similar to this :

To confirm I wasn't seeing things wrongly

Report

Struijk, along with his captain Liam Cooper and Diego Llorente, dealt with every long ball Norwich launched at the back three throughout a 90 minutes that, although nerve-shredding at times, deservedly belonged to United.

Raphinha's fourth goal of the season and a second for Rodrigo in consecutive Premier League matches earned Leeds United a first away win of the season, both instrumental as was centre-back Pascal Struijk.

Where's that report from ? BBC? They're fairly clueless. Pascal is technically a centre back and listed as such by the press but he didn't play there on Sunday. Kalvin sat deeper until late second half

Felt like he played in front of the other two, until Llorente broke forward then he sat in

I also had a good view from the TV camara .. even Adam said he played DMF... I really don't recall him much in our box outside of corners... Kalvin played deeper as I said and he wouldn't have been there to create the two goals if he played CD

Cooper 17 points came as a surprise to me. Think even 64 gave him a point ...now as we all love stats here

"The 30-year-old lost five of his 11 duels against Norwich, also losing possession 16 times overall, while his 61% passing accuracy rate was the lowest of any outfield player to feature for Bielsa’s side in Norfolk"

Ignoring the pundits who frequently admit they have no clue which formation Bielsa plays and who's playing where in it, it was imo

1 GK
2 WB
2 CD
2 DMF/CMF
4 interchangeable forward players

Looking at the heatmaps it was notionally Llorente on the right of defence, Cooper in the middle and Struijk on the left. But going forward Struijk did step up, often playing forward of Dallas and often in the DM role just back from the centr circle.
