A point would give the fan base the jitters I reckon. And perhaps our inexperienced players too.!Victor_Notts-17 wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2026 12:14 pm I predicted a 4-0 win but surely a point is enough to keep us up right? This is our big chance to widen the gap.
Lets hope we take it.

Anything but a win tonight turns the last three weeks into squeaky bum time.
Let's get an early goal and bury these guys.
Stuck in meetings all afternoon and won't get to watch live.
Won't make the mistake of having updates turned on on my phone. Last time I did that I let out a bit of a shout when we scored while the university chancellor was speaking.
Thank goodness for tenure.

We have got to get the win to clear all thoughts of worries over the last 3 games ,and there is no reason why we ain't going to win .
I think the team will be in a positive attitude tonight early goal will settle us all down .

Re: Leeds United vs Burnley Match Thread
I don't understand all the flapping about playing the mighty Burnley
It's up to Farke and the players to get a win, when we're playing at home against the second worst EPL team that are already relegated.
If we can't go into a match being confident of beating these lot, then there's no hope for us. We're playing against a Championship team.
Burnley away from home this season:
Played 17
Points 9
Won 2
Drew 3
Lost 12
Scored 19
Conceded 42
I've predicted a massive win for us, and all you guys who keep stating how wonderful Farke is, and how great these players are, where's your faith in them?
Admittedly, Farke and the lot of them bottled it at Wembley. Cos that Chelsea team was there for the taking and we sat back and made them look like 1970 Brazil. Same as we did against Arsenal twice this season.
I'm expecting a comfortable win, or this again will reignite my doubts about the ability of Farke and these players to progress the club to the next level.

I don’t think all the angst has anything to do with Mighty Burnley. It could be Whitby Town and we’d still worry. We are Leeds, worry is in our DNA.White Riot wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2026 4:20 pm I don't understand all the flapping about playing the mighty Burnley![]()

We've got people who don't like to read anything that they deem to be in the slightest way questioning of DF, the tactics, the players and the club. So, by default everything is golden in their opinion.
But they have no confidence in DF, the tactics, the players and the club to beat a club that has had a disastrous season. To the extent that they've just parted ways with Scott Parker.
Figure that one out

Don’t understand some people saying a defeat wouldn’t be a disaster. It would because you can guarantee the other 3 will win if we do.
43 surely won’t go down and anyway if we win tonight I think we will probably get another point or 3.

That doesn't stop me from questioning DF, the club and the players in terms of our long term advancement.
I really enjoyed the Cup run and credit to Farke and the players for what they have achieved so far this season.
But that non performance at Wembley wasn't acceptable and consequently DF and these players have an obligation to us as supporters to show some pride and set things right by slapping Burnley tonight.
If they're not capable of doing that then hey there's lots more coaches and players out there who will be capable of progressing the club to the next level.

He needs to get his finger out of his arse Cjay, and get these players fired up to smash Burnley.
They owe us one after that s**t show at Wembley, which I'm still pissed off about, we shouldn't just have been there to celebrate reaching a semi final.
