FA Cup final is to be played on Saturday 16th May.
Spurs were due to play Chelsea that day.
Because their fixture with Leeds has been moved to Monday 11th ( thanks Sky !), then that midweek is ruled out for rearrangement.
Looks like the game will have to be Tuesday 19th or Wednesday 20th

Be a very uncomfortable weekend if we fail to win on Friday - hopefully the players have a point to prove after yesterday rather than languishing in disappointment.

The whole thing makes me laugh. (almost) Everybody talking about the clubs below us fighting for their lives. Are we not doing the same? We are in exactly the same position as Forest, West Ham and Spurs. We need points, exactly the same as them. The only difference being the number.
Some of you are writing as though Leeds have no fight in them. Recent results (in the league) demonstrate differently.
The facts are simple: if we stay up, we are good enough. If we go down, then we aren’t.
I happen to think we are.

The good thing is that we already have the points which may be enough to see us stay up even if we were to lose our last 4 games.

Amazing that some people seem to think we have no fight after a last minute equaliser v Bournemouth. A match in which we weren't at our best but still stuck in and competed. Even against Chelsea, despite us being poor it wasn't like we were outclassed. Who knows what would have happened if we'd grabbed a late equaliser.

For me I'd be keeping the same fairly much the same as it has been, the team has been in a decent run.

If GG is injured then it solves the issue of whether to start JJ or Rodon in central defence as Rodon comes in and JJ goes to left back.

Midfield we can either keep Tanaka in there or Stach. Happy with either. DCL wasn't very effective against Chelsea but integral to the way we play, don't really buy into him being exhausted etc.

Keep to what has been working. Burnley may come to try to frustrate us but we don't need to overcommit and concede a suckerpunch goal. Obviosuly the 3 points would be great but 1 wouldn't be a disater - at the very least a point means Spurs have to win 2 and draw 1 of their remaining 4 matches. So if Burnley come to park the bus and we don't give them encouragement then you would have to think at some point the players would think - to hell with these tactics let's actually have a bit of pride in ourselves and try to get a win.

Here, Here
That's the thing about playing three of the last four against teams below us, it's almost like a relegation play-off. At least the final isn't at Wembley (too soon ?)
Joking apart, as I have said before, if we don't beat the teams currently below us then we deserve to go down.
Pretty sure we will smash Burnley :scarfe2:

As gutting as yesterday was it could be a blessing in disguise, the last thing we need are players getting distracted by the thought of a final. ( Can’t even agree with that last statement myself 🙄) Staying up and getting to an FA Cup semi-final is still an excellent season imo.

We play first.

That's either a blessing or a curse.

Win and it would be a body blow to our rivals.

Lose and would give them a lift.

Hopefully we don't buckle under the pressure.

Thats asking 3 teams to potentially have to get to 44.
Maybe 43 on GD.

I hope DF drops Aaronson, but he got to fit Stach Gnotto and Nmecha, we must not lose on Friday, deep down I am confident we can get a result but Faeke has to make changes cos I think Burnley are going to be physical imo .

Stach has to start on Friday, we looked a different side when he came on yesterday.

I agree Chilli, even if he’s not fully fit he should start & then get subbed off rather than the other way round. We need to get at them early & get the first goal, if they score first & park the bus it could be a long evening.

There's no way on earth DF is going with that forward line.

For goodness sake lads, Burnley are crap and are already relegated. Just put them under pressure from the start and all will be well. However I suspect that DF will try desperately not to concede until twenty minutes from the end and then go for the win - I hope that I'm wrong.
