Just seen the Rodon goal reply. That’s looks like a training ground goal to me. Three decoy runners all run to opposite corners taking defenders with them. I take it all back, we’ve been working on corners

Just watched the replay Aaronson picked out James nicely who miss hit his shot and it fell to Wober, due to his intelligent run.

I’d give him an A for effort on that one! Squaring a dangerous pass to the middle. Dangerous passes in advanced positions are opportunities to score, just like Wober did.

Nice to be winning 2-0, though, after enduring that first 30 min of pretty drab footy.

Yes, we usually make the same diagonal run across the box in formationOrange Box wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2024 1:26 pm Just seen the Rodon goal reply. That’s looks like a training ground goal to me. Always full of effort and to be fair to him when you get into that position it is rare you have the time to pick out the pass it is more about playing it into the dangerous area which is what he did. A bit similar to how we got the own goal the other week because the ball was played into a dangerous area. The real top quality players are the ones who make the perfect pass there but that's when you start talking about the DeBruyne's etc. If Aaronsen could add that to his game then he would be worth in excess of the fee we paid for him, without it he is at best worth £10m - a good team player but not the star factor.

I think we just lambast our management and players in the hope they prove us wrong.

This is very similar to 7 - 0 over Southampton to this stage of the game.
Not making any ridiculous comparisons but would love to see that score line.
