For all the power, pace & quality of our front four, they often give the ball away cheaply.

A few are guilty of too many touches when we are in a promising position, all the front four did this and ran into trouble on occasion. It will come, as they develop a better understanding of teammate’s movement.

We really need to back this result up with a win at Hull and at home to Watford. If we can put a string of wins together the momentum really starts to build and with that comes the belief all over the pitch.

Don't get me wrong DDB, I'm deliriously happy with our front four, when they are flowing, it's a joy to watch!

I live down south and tried to get tickets for this

How come they were 'sold out' but the bottom tier was empty?

Baffled me why Zeberdee didn't just stand on the seat, i'm pretty sure he'd removed his socks.

I agree with our Yanks, the scoreline was flattering, it was a pretty even contest for the most part, the possession stats also surprised me and we probably overtook them in the last quarter (see what i did there)

Our quality showed in the final third, and the luck was on our side today, plays a big part that luck tha knows, in owt.

A marked improvement and we're coming on well DF, i'm looking forward to seeing Willy replaced by Anthony which will cause a massive sulk from the child, jeez he still annoys the fookin livin daylights out of me.

Along with Bambi and his endless minor injury list/s, another feckin irritant, either get yourself fit, or fck off off the wages bill.

From Phil Hay's latest Athletic article:

"But for a while now, the risk of trouble at the New Den itself has been mitigated by the logistics of the stadium. Leeds are never given the bottom tier of the away end. That policy restricts their fans to the upper part of one stand. Most of these are bussed in and out, and the security operation is down to a fairly fine art."

Great result and glad to see Rutter on the scoresheet. It's early doors, but Leeds are rising, the squad are comfortable at this level and the forwards look class with how they power forwards and score. DF is an artist creating something special at ER. The introduction of Dan James' speed down the right brought terror to Millwall's defensive structure and it paid off. We are all in for a real treat of a season and I can't help but smile.

We are slowly makes strides in the right direction and that's pleasing, after all that we have had to deal with. I'm sure there will be the odd setback now and again as we are nowhere near the finished article.
I know this really doesn't mean too much, but I'm currently watching the Sky documentary about Burnley, called Mission To Burnley. Its about their relegation season followed by their promotion last season. Interesting enough program but nothing special, there are more than a few similarities between them and us in it. Got relegated, needed to get rid of players ( i know that for us was totally different as ours wanted out ) brought in new players, on loan and also bought new players. Got a new manager and had their American owners panicking as they went over the planned budget while bringing so many new players. Despite them running away with the league in the end it wasn't without its problems at the start of the season. It took them until mid October to really get going, then they got on a roll and we all know what happened after that.
After 6 games Burnley had 9 points + 4 GD
After 6 games we have 9 points + 3 GD......like i say all this can be taken with a pinch of salt, but we are not in as bad a position as some might think, regarding promotion, you just never know M.O.T

I detested last season, watching Leeds getting battered so many times, one of the worst experiences in the 60 years I've supported Leeds. I enjoyed the League One season more than what I endured in 2022/23, I was relieved when the season was over.

The majority of fans are much happier when their team is competitive & winning. Daniel Farke & his players have made me happy & motivated again. I'm enjoying this season immensely.
I never said they would do particularly well but I don't think they will go down as many predict , they will be happy enough to stay up , like Leeds did two seasons ago , once they are up and running, they will improve, especially after the takeover and the new stadium is completed

That's the reason why I knew the attendance would be around 18,000 :P having been to The Den numerous times.

I thought some of what he said was valid for about 4 minutes and then he goes off on one blaming the ref and saying the our players should have been booked for celebrating the first goal in front of their fans! They were at home, where they supposed to celebrate it, in the changing rooms?
