Quality loan signings would be adequate at this stage of the season.
It's no good spending big money on players who may not be good enough should we go up.
We spent £16m on Piroe, personally I don't think he is good enough to play in the Premier League, I maybe wrong!
If he can play "Fox in the Box" it might be different but playing the role he is being asked to is not doing him any favours. If there was another string to his bow it would have been evident by now I'd have thought.
At the moment though, I agree, he looks like a good Championship player and no more albeit being played out of position.

Point is, Rodon first card at the KC was never a yellow, you'd have thought Farke would have backed him up on that one. It backfired on him though as we conceded three goals at the St Mary's, something we haven't done since, yes we have lost games by the odd goal, but we've never looked like we concede a hatful.
Southampton are the only team to have beaten us well.... The others have been hit and run wins for one reason or another

The point I was making, apart from, we never look like conceding three goals with Rodon at the heart of our defence.
Leeds United v Cardiff City: Meslier, Gray, Ampadu, Rodon, Firpo, Gruev, Kamara; Summerville, James, Rutter, Bamford. #lufc

Byram the most likely next CH in line, followed by Gruev

Quite a big test for Gruev this, especially if he asks Kamara to push on and Firpo goes chasing the sheep.
All eyes on Gruev, Ampadu and PB for me.
Closely followed by the rest of the team.
