Brought a kid on who is brave and gets on the ball and plays. Intelligent and full of belief. With Summerville there is the possibility of a great partnership. Pace kills teams like Bournemouth ( and us tbh )
Rodrigo offered little besides his well taken penalty.

Harrison needs a spell out of the team, Greenwood showed his quality in this game. Joffy again gets a mere ten minutes but had more quality in that period than Rodrigo in 80.

Cannot fill the team with kids at this stage - but the sad reality is that is where are quality lies.
Great post

I was working so couldn't watch it properly, but still nearly had ten heart attacks.

Young lads did great, but boy oh boy does our defence need sorted out :?
Yep. How can you concede 80 goals and then think we don't need to improve the defence?!

We wanted £35-40mil.

Newcastle offered £17mil then slightly over £20mil.

Kinnear then mocked the bid in his notes because he is a pillock.

That's less than we paid tbf. If I remember hadn't he only scored 1 goal in the first half of last season and scored the rest in the last few months?

Gnonto has played for Italy four times, never had any doubts him.

Gelhardt is a favourite of mine.

Summerville has shown vs Brentford Fulham & Liverpool is ready, had a couple of cameo PL appearances last season.

Greenwood has a few PL games under his belt & did things today his experienced colleagues seem incapable of.

Those four are ready ---- as for the rest they will have to wait for their opportunity if good enough.

Let's see more of those youngsters. Summerville seems to be the finisher we've been crying out for for a very long time. Gnonto's play to set him up for the winners the past two weeks has been nothing short of brilliant (I still can't get over the way he headed the ball to himself over a defender last week).

Adams is 23, Aaronson 22, Summerville 21, Gnonto 19, Greenwood 20, Struijk 23, Meslier 22, Gelhardt 20, Sinisterra 23.

If we can keep that core group together for the next few years it could be quite special.
Average age of the team that finished the match - 23yo.

Limited skills, hasn't the pace of Summerville or Gnonto, his goals have dried up.

Chooses the wrong option on far too many occasions.

I know, hence my player rankings, both full backs were excellent and I don't, now, blame him for either goal other than he was skinned for pace. But he hunted down Tavernier later at pace, got a yellow for a tackle he won

Gnonto and Greenwood got to play in their strongest positions, Greenwood is a CMF not an AMF so his rivals for that spot is Roca and Klich. Gnonto can play anywhere across the front 4 as can Cry though he's better on the right

Bielsa built Harrison to be a left winger predominantly and it shows. Harrison is a learned footballer, same Rodrigo and Llorente. The natural talent isn't there like it is with the likes of Summerville, Gelhardt and Gnonto... the latter 3 will go off script. Nothing wrong with that you need both types..

Indeed, but the fact is we have better than Harrison now in Summerville, Gnonto & Sinisterra (when fit), he can toddle off to Newcastle or where ever his career takes him imo, fed up of his one-dimensional style & inconsistency.

Maybe we need to find a place for Sam, as a set-piece specialist is an important role in any good team.

But when he started against Fulham, everyone moaned. Tyler is undroppable atm and Roca hasn't done anything wrong yet either.
