Leeds United player polls - Your captain

Post by The Subhuman »

Simple question, who's the captain going forward?

Gone for Tyler Adams - He seems to have the minerals.
Delapsus Resurgam - When I fall I shall rise!

No, he's a bench player according to the forum.

Abstaining. Liam Cooper is captain and should continue to be. Even someone who isn't a first choice starter can still be club captain. But what happened with the votes? Hjelde part of our strongest 11? That hypothetical exercise is a throw away in my opinion.

Strange one for me, really not seeing Adams as a captain at all, he's just too busy in the centre of the park for me. It would be a bit like making Batty captain.

Fair enough, just a little fun tbh while we wait for football. No idea what happened in the Hjelde vote other than it's a vote of no confidence in the position as a whole.

Also what happened is some posters voted their 11 so if they voted one player in one position they didn't vote him for a second. Which is not how it was intended tbh, I wanted a forum consensus as to which player fitted which position best now and going forward...

My fault I'll try to explain it better if I go again, maybe during the world cup

it is a bit of an issue going forward - Cooper and Ayling are obviously the natural choices but neither is a guaranteed starter at the moment

difficult to know what's going on behind the scenes in terms of how is a leader etc. in the dressing room

but ultimately difficult to pick a guaranteed starter who should be captain - how many "guaranteed" starters do we actually have? Meslier, Roca, Adams, Aaronson, JH? The rest have been a bit in and out of the team recently/last year - maybe Koch going forward, generally a fan of a CB or GK being captain
