Cup matches are rarely a reflection of league position, all this he is s**t, we are s**t, blah blah is just repetitive nonsense.
Surely, our U21s are supposedly of higher level than Cardiff's second string, although the real culprits were our experienced back four except for the much maligned Firpo.
We played well for the most of the game, dominated first 25 before the makeshift defence fell apart for a while. All Leeds second half, great goal from Rodders again, missed the pen but made the keeper make the save which was decent. Joseph looked good, decent effort to try to drag the ball back late, good cut back from Rodders but there was a lot of work to put that away... Then Firpo (I do think goals should be automatically given in these circumstances) incredibly cheated of a goal
Firpo then confirmed his MOTM with a flick for Perkins the predator to put it away for a very deserved draw

Most of them aren't good enough tbh. It's a poor league, yet we're the only side obsessed with signing players for that level rather than improving the first team.

Not by me ... Actually thought the 21's very good today, Fernandez looks good, Perkins scored, Drameh looked good, Gyabi excellent

It’s what I said earlier. An obvious rule change needed with a penalty goal instantly awarded plus a sending off. Then it would never happen again
I declare my love for Saint Daniel and I can shoehorn him in to any conversation.

Did he get 1 or 2 assists and denied a certain goal. Can't knock it going forward brilliant. Can't remember him making a defensive tackle but that's from memory.
Fripo didn't have a bad game today. The other 3 at the back were more at fault than him. Assist was nice.
Change going forward for Wober. Maybe because he offers more coverage in the back left areas.

The issue today was exactly the one I made pre match. You muck around with the centre back pairing and you pay a price. Start Koch and Cooper and we win that at a canter

If any of us happened to be near Jesse in the last 20 minutes we could have earned our debut appearance for Leeds United, such was the blind panic. Pathetic.
Hardly blind panic. He could have turned to experienced players like Harrison and Ayling. It was inspiring to see him put trust in Joseph and Perkins at the end.

We would have if we didn't lack pace at the back, shoot on target & wasn't so error-prone all over the park.
ITV had two ex-Cardiff players in the studio, so they were bound to be watching through rose-tinted spectacles.
Professional footballers earning thousands of pounds a week should be able to score easy chances. Struijk, Joseph and Rodrigo all culprits, Greenwood too as he had a great chance.

Thank god for Gnonto who remained on the pitch when it looked like he was due to be subbed as he limped off the pitch after being clattered by a Cardiff defender.
Gnonto dribbled round his man as if he wasn't there & put in the cross that led to our equaliser, without Willy I doubt we'd have got the draw.

Well you are a bit negative Cjay. I like the indepth analysis you bring to the site. But people get tired of negativity.
Sometimes negativity is truth. But it's hard to listen to. We all see a lot of negatives on the pitch. We don't need to sing about it all the time.
Football is all about emotion.
Sometimes just winning is all you need.
f**k all the science and analysing. Too much of that and the real joy of the game is lost.

What a defender
Hugely disappointed with Pascal today. He showed enough 2 seasons ago that he could be a solid CB. Shaky last year in a struggling team but still better than he was today.
He was very indecisive on that first goal. I was really surprised to see him with the armband. He's an introvert. Seems very shy, not vocal and not likely to call others out. I really like the guy, but he doesn't exude leadership.
Tbf a consistent run at CB might see him do better. And glad we signed Wober because he's probably going to be a team leader immediately.
