Wishing Joffy you the best of luck

Hope he scores plenty of goals to secure a play-off place for the Mackems.

Sunderland fans should be excited about this one. Great loan for them.

Ross Stewart the main striker at Sunderland (10 goals this season) picked up a nasty looking injury yesterday which is a suspected Achilles rupture and could be out for some time.

So Joe is next man up (all be it Sunderland are trying to get Elliot Simms back from Everton).

Great opportunity for Joffy this.

He needs to make that step from super sub to starter

Not really a striker more of a second striker .... but hopefully he makes it work though would like to see them add a pure striker for him to play off.

Ex-Citeh academy kid Patrick Roberts looks a pacy, tricky winger & should lay goals on a plate for Joffy.

Scored his 1st goal today.

They feel sorry for him but has to be said they don't seem overly impressed.

Seems nonsense now to have sent him on loan - to be replaced by someone who's not a goalscorer and not 1st team ready. Could have gone down last season without Joffys contributions.

If you are neither superfast, quick, or tall, you need to be extra special elsewhere to make it in the PL.. Gelhardt may not be good enough. Rutter has more upside.

Not a striker ...We're actually missing him atm as we don't seem to have a 10 ready to go

It one mess after another with our management.

Some fans may defend them, but between the Three Stooges, they have created consecutive relegation battles.

Their decision-making is abysmal.

Indeed it is, JG never got enough game time at ER, I fear we'll lose him now, along with Drameh and Cresswell, they may not make it, but, I'd much rather have them at least get game time with us and fail than not at all, all 3 have potential but we've bought in a RB, CB and CF without giving those 3 enough chances.

Is it nailed on he is there for the rest of the season or can we recall Joffy?

Geldhart would be bench warming at best so let the guy get game time where he is.
Plus he was struggling to be effective in the few minutes he was being given.

Happy to see he has a goal and an assist to his name now.
Especially as he will have a good feel for the Championship which will be beneficial next season
