The match on Saturday may be like the vision of the future with us playing teams of Accrington's quality every week uner the leadership of Marsch.

Who is this Bert bloke you keep talking about Ken?

It must be Bert Sproston who played for us from 1933 to 1938, I can’t think of any other Bert who has ever either played for or managed us. What makes him so special that you keep droning on about him 90 years later?

There you go you see, there's only one Bert.

You know it, i know it, and the whole forum knows it ;-)

Certainly is! Bert Sproston played for us between 1933 - 1938 😉.

Shame he is a right back not a left back as he was quality. Only a couple of years older than Ayling though.

Aww f*ck it appears he is dead. Orta is still keen on him though, good stats and doesn't matter that he is dead as Orta doesn't like to see them play.

If there's a back hander to be had, he'll be all over it.

So is Ken judging by the number of posts he mentions him in. It must be the only time he and Victor have ever agreed about anything!

I see on another site that some Leeds fans have taken to calling him Yank Lampard.

Been trending on twitter a few times.

May be a bit unkind but the similarities are undeniable.

The folks at MLS headquarters still believe in him. They posted this today as part of a McKennie story. Personally, I will always remember the bloodied up Jesse as a player. :roflmao:

Getting back on topic. Faith in marsch…

I think it depends on how we play against forest. We have a lot of talent in the squad, most are the managers choice so all excuses are gone.

Performance and points are everything. Feb will be the totally crucial month for marsch. Beat Forest, Everton and Southampton and our season is more or less safe. Lose all 3 and marsch is at serious risk. Lose badly and he’s toast.

Personally I don’t think that will happen. We’re going 7 points and a lucky +3 from the Man U double dip.

PS. This is my optimistic head speaking. I’m not convinced he’s the manager to get the best out of this team but if results go our way I’ll totally support.

So the transfer window is over.

We are on a run of 0 wins in 6 in the league.

We are actually 19th in the form table since August.

How many games should Jesse get ?

He is the best backed LUFC manager for a long time.

For me defeat vs Forest should be the end.

We have to be very careful imo, our last 4 fixtures are Man City, West Ham, Newcastle and Spurs.

If we do into those needing 5,6 points then we are in massive trouble

We waste to many winnable fixtures on Jesse it could relegate us.

It's pretty clear that the 49ers are exerting more control and unlike Radz, Orta and Kinnear they have no reason to protect Jesse.

For me we have moved past the point of performances and tactical clarity and all his sound bites.

Wins and fast

Fail to beat Forest and take nothing from the scum games, that'll be what, 2 wins in 20?

A decent managerial appointment asap would quickly see us moving up the table, with this squad.
