Listen: whoever it is, we have to get onboard with him?her! Did I say 'her?' Oh dear :P

We cannot mess this up. Let's not worry about who just yet? Let's give thanks that our wish for JM to be sacked has been granted. 1 day at a time and all that. We have a victory: let's enjoy it...

West Brom were on a downward spiral, Baggies went 6th at the weekend.

Plays attacking football, not quite as expansive as Marcelo, and ensures he keeps it tight at the back.

He knows Leeds/Thorpe Arch & has affinity with half of our squad.
Carlos took over West Brom on 25th Oct, lost their first game under home on the 29th, so if you include that game, they have played 17 and won 11.

Not a bad return, we know he's a good coach and he knows the club but i don't see WB letting him go

All the hallmarks of another cheap punt based on limited success outside of a top level

Know some of our fans want him.

But remember Dyche, Emery, Lopetegui

Against far better coaches in the this league

Don't know if it relevant

But the journalist who broke the sacking is Spanish based

Carlos hasn't really pulled up any trees has he. They need to go big on the manager and stop f**king about.... Blown cash in the transfer window now do it on a manager ...

Nope, not Corberan for me. I don't think he's done enough to warrant such a big job. It would be more like an Heckingbottom appointment, very underwhelming.

Think he works for DAZN which is the network Radz is involved with so suspect that's how the news broke.

I agree with that sentiment as well as what overman says also.
We've spunked too many ££millions on sacking paydays to tempt fate with a never has been, I've stated elsewhere, I think the board have been silently planning a big name for a few months and maybe waiting for the opportunity to arise bringing in said name, I flaming hope so anyway.
Football puts me through the wringer, I went straight home yesterday and have felt depressed since, all over a bloody game that my team ought to have won, the woman next to me, bless her, asked me if I needed assistance with about 5 minutes remaining as I was sat with my head in my hands in despair.

Think I’d prefer the Celtic manager, whatever his name is.

Big pressure at Celtic. Handled it well.

Of course there is a huge difference in the leagues, but he is a winner.

Everything pointing towards Corberan now. 5/4 and even money in places. 7/1 or bigger the rest.
Does he have any major plus points considering our position

I guess Corberan would be the cheapest option.

Can’t help but think this is a “what happens if we go down” scenario.

I’d imagine higher profile managers will have an escape clause.

Huddersfield from relegation fighting to play off final.

Similar thing with West brom this year

Knows the set up and so could hit the ground running, did great work with the youth teams here

Would be a no brainer for me

My hope, and it is just that, is that the writing has been on the wall for a while and the board have been lining up a replacement just as they did when Bielsa got the elbow. We cannot afford to drift with an interim beyond the two scum games (free hits), we need someone who can turn up tomorrow or Wednesday and get stuck in immediately. All the Niners plans fall to rat s**t if we go down, and that's a very real possibility at the minute, even with Jesse gone. I've no clue who it should be, by the way, but whomever it is needs to make us a bit more solid at the back, give us some natural width and exploit the attacking talent we have.

Also in relative position within the league. Not that hard to rack up a great record at Celtic or Rangers.

The bookies usually throw a manager like Corberan to the top of the list coz people will throw money at a hot favourite.

Take your time Radz, stick the under 21 guy in you've nowt to lose for the scum.

Then use your brain and ring Bert asap.

I'm now breathlessly waiting for the self proclaimed "brightest minds" around here to enlighten us on who the next Manager should be. Or maybe the magic Google machine hasn't told them what to think about that yet.... :roflmao:

So you think our board should just follow unknowledgeable people and where they decide to lose their money?

Probably right haha
