Honestly, I joined the forum because some of the comments about JM were pissing me off. The guy hadn't even had a chance yet. So I probably wanted to try and keep the criticism fair. Instead of Yank this and Yank that. And I will say that most of the criticisms were about football. Especially this season. And it was fair game. I was particularly surprised when I called for him to be sacked after the Palace match and a bunch of you talked me off the ledge. Everyone could see it wasn't really working at that time. But people here were mostly patient.

The players are guilty of underperforming sometimes unable to even string simple passes together, like they had earlier smoked something exotic, impairing their ability to coordinate, communicate. These are professional footballers, highly skilled, well paid, pampered and adored by many yet playing dreadfully.
I admired my own passing abilities and man marking as a kid and reading of the game from midfield in general, but never came close to taking a step towards professional football because I was dreadful in other areas like arial duels, volleys, etc. Some of the LUFC players have deficiencies to their game also and for all the bs Jesse sprouted he couldn't improve the flaws in each individual player.
Marsch now gets the sack, but shouldn't some players be given gruelling training regimes to improve their passing accuracy, hitting a barn door from the penalty spot more often, looking up before passing the ball, running into wide open spaces, etc, etc?
I hope the next coach behaves like Brian Clough and tells those under performers that their days in a white shirt are numbered, unless they pull their sleeves up and play like professionals for the full 90+ minutes or else! A good kick up the arse is what some need to get them back on track and playing like true champions.

And how many managers have there been since Revie ? It's never exactly been a stable club in terms of manager longevity...I think Wilko has been the only manager to have lasted more than 5 seasons since Revie.

Me too. He was the #2 under Rose at Dortmund so I always assumed he was a brilliant football mind. Oh well, time to move on…. Really curious about who the next manager will be.
