Google ads is set to run ‘experiments’ which means sometimes new ads types are enabled and the views/clicks compared.
Seems this particular type avoids the code I put in lace to disable for contributors. I’ll look into it.

Me too seeing ads when opening a topic never ever use to happen most annoying
