I saw him on the night England played West Germany in the World Cup semi final. I'd never quite understood how great Prince was until I saw him live. Unbelievable mate, still have goosebumps thinking about that 88 gig, it was fookin amazing mate.

Same deal he kept everyone waiting for ages until he came on, but it was well worth the wait.

Went to see The Stones at Hampden a few days after we lost against the Krauts and was still in mourning. I'd be wearing my England shirt for a month before that, but didn't wear it in Glasgae

Prince and The Who top the list for me as live acts. Very different, but both positively incandescent. Incredibly high level of musicianship and energy.
