Yes start him but 3 sub appearances and questions being asked already? Give the lad at least a few games, especially considering his lack of football....

A lot of upheaval since he came as well as other players, time is the essence, but, we need them up to speed asap, but he won't get gametime sat on the bench either.

Unbelievable Mick. Its taken Rodrigo 2 seasons and the daggers are already out for this kid. First we need to find where is best position is.Mick Jones shoulder wrote: ↑Thu Feb 09, 2023 6:27 pm Yes start him but 3 sub appearances and questions being asked already? - moved club for a record fee
- moved country
- made his debut away to Accrington and everything was on the up - first game since November
- played in the shambles that was Forest away
- saw the manager fired
- came off the bench in Old Trafford in front of 74,000 fans in a rollercoaster match .... and gets to face them again this weekend
What must be going through his head - he probably thinks he is stuck inside a washing machine - he is still only 20.

Yea , thats a massive upheaval as I say, hopefully things will get better for him sharpish, a goal will help settle the nerves and get the fans with himPullhard wrote: ↑Thu Feb 09, 2023 11:54 pm In the last 3 weeks, Rutter has:

Re: Georginio Rutter
He doesn't look a player battle hardened for relegation to me.... but we are where we are. Doesn't look like he does discipline that well either, he looks like he needs more of a roaming free role. He's defo not a hold-up player. The managers are damned if they do. They bring him on to try and win the game, if we draw 0-0 people would be saying why didn't we bring him on to go for it.. He needs to confide with Rodrigo and find out how he managed to steal a living for two years and he should be ok in his 3rd year.

For me a club record signing ,in our situation, should not be showing signs of promise. He should be producing.
Not his fault whatsoever.

Re: Georginio Rutter
Gotta give Rutter time.
Tyler Roberts has over 100 appearances for us, and still done nowt.
I think Rutter will be good, but we've gotta give him a chance.
Like Aaronson, he needs toughened up a bit.

Nail on the head about getting toughened up, both of them i think will be better next season once they become more used to the physicality of the Premiership. Well i hope its in the PremiershipWhite Riot wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2023 8:23 pm Gotta give Rutter time.

Its way too early to judge Rutter.

Re: Georginio Rutter
What I’m saying is in our situation why do we break our transfer record in January and prepare to give him time we simply do not have.
Does not make any sense whatsoever to me.
Again, do not blame the player, but deeply question the piece of business.

But in our position should we be signing players with potential who need time.White Riot wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2023 8:23 pm Gotta give Rutter time.

Hardly in a position to wait 6,12,18months.
Not Rutter fault but big price tags Bring expectations and immediate impact is one of them.
Clearly talented but needs to show more fairly soon

Exactly my point clay
If he needs time and development don’t understand why he represents our record signing.
We have signed enough of this type of youngster in recent years for a fraction of the cost

Yeah, I guess they won't be hanging around for the even more physical stuff at Millwall and CardiffGreennWhite wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2023 8:31 pm Nail on the head about getting toughened up, both of them i think will be better next season once they become more used to the physicality of the Premiership. Similar to Aaronson, I think these are more investments in our future.Cjay wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2023 8:34 pm But in our position should we be signing players with potential who need time.

We spent peanuts on Gnonto and he's had an immediate impact.
Might have been wiser getting a decent left back in.
Bamford, not that he's perfect, kept their backline honest yesterday, but they were able to shrug off Rutter and Aaronson easily.

Re: Georginio Rutter
Who can we sign tho? Most of the players we were after in the summer laughed at us. Gnonto was bought in to fill the void. Ok like Raph before him it turned out fine. Give the guy a breather the tactics don't suit his fee style. Could we have got Mitrovic at the same price? I don't know but that's the type of player we needed.Cjay wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2023 8:34 pm But in our position should we be signing players with potential who need time.

With the chances we create, most of the attacking line ought to be scoring, problem is, we'll never know when the golden boy gets all the game time and continues to fail, oh hang on though, whilst he continues to do a lot of intelligent running and link-up play, ..............................hope I haven't upset anybody.

Lightweight players do my head in, maybe it's born out of watching Revie's boys for twelve years.White Riot wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2023 8:45 pm Similar to Aaronson, I think these are more investments in our future.

Gnonto is the complete opposite to Rutter & Aaronson.
