I prefer to keep my powder dry on matters like this. Reading this thread reminds me too much of the work place when the daggers come out after someone has left.
‘Oooh - I never trusted him he always had that look in his eye and walked funny’
Let’s hope he is as awful as his record and most tactical experts on here suggest. We have to play Leicester soon.
Whatever his faults and what happened this season, he did play a part in keeping us up last season.
Usually when a manager leaves the team comes out of their shell a bit and performances improve, watching Leicester yesterday there is absolutely no evidence of this, they are the worst team since the World Cup - can’t see how Jesse will get anything out of them but will he have learned from his time at Leeds or will he stick to his tried and tested system.

I was always a bit unsure about this DB220 guy. A little bit 'weerrr, a little weeeeeey'!
I hope Jessie does well, no hard feelings on my part for sure. He did ultimately keep us up.
But for me it highlights the ludicrous old boys club of elite football.
Once you have a foot in the door you are in.
It's either the Square Ball or the Guardian said it about the Lampard appointment, it's a very British (and Irish) thing of rewarding incompetence and demoting upwards.
I'd say he might be fine, they have some very good players, they could well go on a run.
I think Leicester have more quality in the key attacking areas for the Marsch system. How many times did we see good positions break down because the final pass was poor. They have a proper 10 and I would argue better 9 options.
If his system fails at Leicester, then it truly is without merit at this level.

Didn't most people think that Heckingbottom was an atrocious manager when he was with us ?
Now look at him - the Blades are on the cusp of promotion back to the PL, and are in the semis of the FA Cup.
This kind of thing has a tendency to come back and bite you if you're not careful. What are the odds that the Blades will beat us in both fixtures next season ?

He was and still is
Sheffield United had the 3rd most expensively assembled squad in the league last season so probably most expensive this.

Marsch and Hecky are very similar
Tactically poor passion merchants
My Sheffield born brother in law has just told me that the Blades were put under a transfer embargo during the summer due to a missed payment on a transfer caused by the takeover of the club which is still ongoing. I think they have made a couple of loan signings.

Agree. I've got no hard feelings towards Jesse, and thank him for some of the memories he gave us. Some just simply hated him for having the audacity to replace the messiah.
Not going to lie, it's the kind of thing that ends up biting us in the backside. Really not looking forward to the Leicester game now.

Interesting that soon after he’d taken the recent jobs he’s been linked with he’d be facing LUFC. Has that any bearing on his decision
Maybe
All be it bit suspicious about Marsch rejecting them.
Leicester Phil Hay was reported for a day that it wasn't as close as some thought.
Wondering if this is a bit of face saving from Marsch?
