You can see why he was a desperation appointment
Negative
Plays favourites
Passive
But still one of the least to blame for this mess.
That being said I'd love to get Favre in to finish the season.

Re: Javi Gracia
Out of his depth and seemingly (now), a very bad (desperate) choice! Big Sam would have been a much better choice as he take's no cr@p but tbh, I cannot stand him. I'd still have taken him over Gracia...

You could try 20 different managers and it still won't be Orta's fault.
Comes out smelling of roses ya see coz of his gift of the gab.
No need.

Got it wrong again today. This defensive tactic hasn't worked, so why keep doing it?

Re: Javi Gracia
It can't work in the modern EPL, the game is littered with too many good to great players and it's a more expansive game than it used to be.. If you set up defensively the opposition sees that and knows it can launch wave after wave of attacks... Fulham basically played a 424 today
It wasn't a truism bt it is now. The best defence is a good offence and we have a good offence

Garcia is a fukking JOKER. After that post match bs he said, he can fukk off...clueless knobhead. Basically saying Gnonto is overrated, but picking the shyte like Aaronson and Harrison every fukking game.

Brentford make defensive counter attacking football work very well.faaip wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2023 5:11 pm It can't work in the modern EPL, the game is littered with too many good to great players and it's a more expansive game than it used to be.. They average less possession than we have under Gracia.
But they have have well coached solid team with the players able to do the style
We don't.
We have a squad built (badly) for a high pressing front foot style, we lack in key areas
But we absolutely don't have the players to play like Brentford or like Gracia is trying.
But we've tried attacking high pressing football and that hasn't worked for years either
So . . . . What do you do

He doesn't come across as the most inspiring manager for sure. There could well be an issue with Gnonto, something certainly is not right. Javi will soon be joining the extensive list of shite managers we've employed over the years. The root of it all stems from the inept ownership and it may not be such a bad thing if we do go down. The sooner Radz and his sychophants are gone, the better.

Well, going down doesn`t seem an option anymore - could be realistically down after Leiceser game - but who knows.Overman wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2023 5:35 pm He doesn't come across as the most inspiring manager for sure. Very disappointed by Garcia...hadn`t a clue who he is before coming in. But yesterday we lost 5 points in total against our
relevant rivals and could have been more...and that with us playing a team clearly not totally commited.
Orta certainy fits some aspects of some kind of pathological mind-set (must get out my DCM or ICD). My fear is that the 49ers are part
of this debacle with their US coach/players approach which simply has failed big time. And doubt they are interested in investing too much more money either.
But a rebuild is necessary under what circumstances ever. It`s as bad as the Ridsdale debacle in my eyes regarding the ineptness of some people. Even worse: Ridsdale took a forseeable and necessary (?) big risk, that could have payed off had be got into the CL a second year running we were cheated of). This lot didn`t even realize we got to dream land without investing big time and thought it would continue like that after a single year of investing a decent amount of money if mostly in shyte players. (Raphinha the big exception.)
It`ll cost us a lot this time round, but not like administration, league 1 and 16 years of EFL...that`s about the amount of hope that is left in me.
ps: Assuming we don`t beat or even lose against Leiceser what will the atmospere be like at Elland Road..-crowd seldom really gets toxic against players nor board...?

Re: Javi Gracia
Up to half time at the Palace game I thought he was a good fit, at least to the end of the season.
Some on here were even touting a new contract in the Summer should he keep us up.
Something changed as discussed on this board and he became more cautious, more timid in his outlook.
From bold attacking football to nervous confused tactics in two short years. Who saw that coming after that first year back?

Being brutally honest though there was a little fortune in his 3 wins & a draw but still a massive drop off since HT v Palace.VinnysTattoo wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2023 9:00 am Up to half time at the Palace game I thought he was a good fit, at least to the end of the season.

He needs to offload all the passengers now and field a team that might give a s**t.

Only hope now is to drop Meslier, Roca, McKennie, Aaronson, Harrison and Rodrigo immediately. Retain them in the 1st team and we are down.

Re: Javi Gracia
He hasn’t the balls to do that. What would his midfield be. He’ll trot out Roca & McKennie till the cows come home.CHAPELALLMAN wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2023 10:53 am Only hope now is to drop Meslier, Roca, McKennie, Aaronson, Harrison and Rodrigo immediately. Re: Javi Gracia
Most likely. Between us & Everton as I think Leicester will leapfrog us, possibly on Tuesday but they will definitely get out of trouble. Could be an all time low points score to stay up.
