Fair enough but I still think you owe Tom Stinkywinkie an apology.

Hope so. And hope it makes a difference.

Moscow on TSB yesterday was putting all the blame on our midfield.

Paraphrasing: They're constantly getting caught upfield and too slow getting back. They offer nothing to the attack, so maybe they shouldn't be venturing so far forward.

Adams was that one player with enough pace to recover. Neither Roca nor McKennie have it. McKennie, especially looks lethargic, uninterested in busting a gut to recover. Almost like an aging pub league midfielder that can't keep up with the pace of the game.

That said, Javi has to be partly to blame. Firstly, he should drop McKennie. But secondly, if he knows our midfielders can't recover quickly enough he needs to play a deep anchor midfielder or 3 at the back. I'd be tempted to put Wober as a 3rd CB or a DMC.

I suggested that tactical change post the Fulham game, then again I'm not a coach.

Unfortunately, Javi's deliberation to react to a desperate situation could cost us relegation & ultimately his Premier League status.

Not following it much but apparently this Diego Mendoza McKennie mate bloke is doing some sort of interview and it's kicking off.

He's said Brenden Aaronson isn't a Premier League player for a start which surely wont go down well in the camp

Apparently thrown Adams and Roca under the bus as well
Bonkers this

Whether he is best mates with McKennie or not he clearly knows him.

This dudes been around for years and McKennie has never distanced himself from him publicly

Toxic this the day of our biggest match of of season.

Apparently he's gone in on multiple of the squad.

Confirms it is someone he knows clearly.

But says basically it's not coming from McKennie himself.

Atleast he has spoken out.

Did better 1st half yesterday in particular, not great but better.

Hope he starts to show that 1st half performance minimum on a regular basis.

He had a decent first half and was blowing out of his ears in the second.

Only a few more games left and off he pops back to Juve.

As I said in another Topic, McKennie is only playing because Adams is injured and Orta wants to spunk £35m on him to impress his new Juve friends.

For me he's not worth that sort of money and we shouldn't keep him at the end of the season, we see occasional glimpses of a good player but not enough to keep him and we have enough players that occasionally perform, who cost a lot less.

I don't think McKennie's statement confirms or clarifies anything with regard to the person making the comments. He's not claimed him as a friend. He hasn't even acknowledged that he knows him. All he has said is the comments made did not come from Weston McKennie. And that if Weston McKennie has something to say it will come directly from Weston McKennie.

Now that Wes has issued a statement disavowing the comments in no uncertain terms. Does that put it to bed for you Cjay?

Not really lol

He's spoken out but defended the comments with his position of love thing.

McKennie could have easily said he doesn't know the dude etc.

He doesn't

It's pretty obvious it's his friend and he's being diplomatic.

The guy even responded.
But he crossed a line yesterday by criticising his teammates and I imagine the club and maybe even his agents told him he had to say something.

Atleast he did so fair play.

And hopefully he can build on his 1st half performance

There's no smoke without fire. And as Cjay says - he's not completely dismissive.

But .. I am happy to hear that he's addressed it. It shows that he cares about what he's doing here. As I mentioned elsewhere, I thoight he had a good game yesterday. Showed some promise. Looked a premier league midfielder. Again. It shows he's got some passion and cares about what he's doing here.

Paul you mentioned somewhere McKennie getting all the criticism but Roca doesn't.

That isn't the case imo.

Being a January signing for a near potential record fee will always bring most scrutiny than a player signed for a 3rd of the price.

But Roca definitely gets plenty of criticism

He's to slow
To immobile
To careless
Not suited to the league.

All concerns I have about McKennie

The two of them are double trouble

I didn't think it would. :roflmao:

Of course he "responded". He's a self-promoting attention whore. It's only natural that he would paint himself as the victim and then double down with the unfounded racial abuse allegations. All while making multiple references to his "beloved friend".

I remain skeptical about Diego Mendoza 29.

People are NOT calling for Roca to be dropped. Probably because that low price tag has created low expectations.
