No idea how he can make us more solid defensively. What is the back four that’ll achieve that exactly. We’re never going to survive wave after wave of attacks v Citeh or Toon.
Wham or Spurs maybe….maybe not.

I declare my love for Saint Daniel and I can shoehorn him in to any conversation.

"More footage has emerged of Leeds players leaving the Hotel
Apparently Bamford went to High 5 him but missed
Meslier tried to pick the lad up but dropped him & a Bournemouth fan tapped him in
Forshaw shook his hand but strained his wrist
And Orta signed him for £35 Million "

Yeah I'm cluelessDDB220 wrote: ↑Tue May 02, 2023 11:57 am The goalkeeper situation is the least of our problems we have been a poor defensively for the past two seasons. If you think the root cause of this has been the keeper then you are clueless about the game. He has had some calamity’s of late without a doubt, but as a team and it is a team responsibility we have been all over the place at set pieces and it is far to easy for teams to get in behind us because our FB’s cannot defend.
Big Sam would probably be able to make us more solid defensively simply on the basis of taking no risks and holding the right defensive formations and positions. Expect at least 2 banks of four with no space in between. Getting his mantra drilled into the team within such a short space of time will be difficult. Any slip up against City will most likely be punished immediately.

I heard that Andrea Radrizzani is chasing Javi Gracia around Thorp Arch, after asking him for a little chat....
What could go wrong?

I know in our hearts we want to be saved, financially and all of that.
We are the second worst side in the division with very very little quality.
Not sure I want another season like these last two to be honest.

weasel wrote: ↑Tue May 02, 2023 9:41 am I said previously that even a couple of points may be enough and there is no need to fear West Ham and Spurs. The City and Newcastle games are to some degree free hits but it also would give SA nearly 3 weeks to prepare the team before the West Ham match.
Football is strange too. If we can get some intensity then the City match has the potential for a shock. They have been on a great run and may just think they have to turn up to win. With them now in pole posiiton to win the league their intensity may drop and with them having Real Madrid on their minds too it could be a perfect time to play them. Don't forget us going to The Etihad and winning when they were in the middle of a title fight. Frustrate them and nick a goal and who knows what could happen (probably lose 6-1 but hey ho).
Likewise pressure can get to teams and Newcastle are fighting for that Champions League place. They've been behind to Southampton and got spanked by Villa. Same thing as against City, don't let them have it easy.
Key is cutting out the gifts. 3 of the 4 goals conceded to Borunemouth were absolute gifts and the 4th wasn't much better. Same as against Fulham. We are making it easy for teams. Cut out those mistakes and make teams have to earn a goal.
We've just gotta go damage limitation v Citeh Weasel to protect what's left of our GD ( can't believe i'm fcking saying that, wtf have we become ??? )
If it is to be big Sam he'll need 5 buses to shore up our defence if he's gonna try and defend our way to points.
It's a absolute no brainer that Robles should finish the season off in the nets.
Not dependent on Google, the www or 'stats' - Just a guy that puts his eyes to full use on the beautiful game
...That Ayling goal and "You couldn't script it

It will depend on how those below us do and quite possibly goal difference. (Man City could hit double figures against us)
I can't see us keeping a clean sheet, we are awful at the back, Gracia put 5 in defence and that turned to chaos quite quickly.
Personally, I think we are mentally done, I am hoping that Sam installs some moral fibre and it somehow lifts the players enough to show some fighting spirit.

Noone is keeping this lot up beleive me the damage is too deep to physiological. The crunch game for us the nial in our coffin is Forrest v Southampton next week. I cannonly see a forrest win and then it will be too late
