I doubt he’ll play Cresswell up front mateLeeds1000 wrote: ↑Wed May 03, 2023 4:49 pm I thought Javi was a defend first coach and look where it got him. Fair play to Sam for giving it a go but he's got nothing to lose and everything to gain. We go down he had very little time to get his message across, we stay up and he's in the frame for the job with his reputation of keeping teams up back under way.
Who knows he may even be able to Pascal fired up. I think he goes with a 3-5-2

Re: Big Sam tactics? What will he do?
Said for 1st game, it won't be much of him. More a feel of what he gets from the players. I think people like Skubz and Liam Cooper will have a lot to say about tactics for Citeh.
But we do know that a 2 man midfield of Roca and McKennie isn't going to work for him. Said as much in the presser that the midfield is going to have to provide better cover.
City game will probably be ultra defensive.. Expect to see 3 at the back, or 3 in midfield, and/or one of the defenders playing in midfield.
That could mean Wober or Strujik in midfield.

He’s come here to work a miracle when no one else would.
It’s also rich because I bet 99% of the people making the jokes don’t exactly have the figure of a Greek god either.
Show some common decency and some appreciation.

Sam can't lose whatever happens.
If we go down then it's "Well he didn't realistically have enough time to make a difference".
If we stay up then it's "Miracle worker! Hero! Genius!"
Whatever happens he'll still get paid a nice few pounds for his efforts.
Good luck Sam.

Money for old rope. He talks a good game anyway, it's the comedy factor. He's got that look about him. I could envision him being on Bullseye or as National Express driver back in the day.BobHirst wrote: ↑Wed May 03, 2023 5:22 pm Sam can't lose whatever happens.

Breaking news is that Big Sam wil have to be fired because he has taken a bung to lose all four remaining matches. Apologies, there has been a misunderstanding, apparently the bung constitutes his standard/general terms and conditions of service until the end of the season.

It will be interesting for sure. Change had to be made as Gracia was sleep walking us into the Championship. I think at least he is the sort of bloke that will look at the errors we have been making recently, ie goalkeeping and defensive midfield cover, and have the balls to make changes, rather than serving up more of the same.

Karl Robinson the sacked ex manager of MK Dons. The ex Charlton manager who left by mutual consent (leave or get sacked). The sacked ex manager of Oxford, who finished his stint with with 1 point from 27.
Renowned for screaming at refs, acting like a prick and playing players in positions they’ve never played in.
He may have worked with Big Sam at Blackburn, but Sam owed him. Oxford took on Sam’s grandson and it wasn’t on merit.

Re: Big Sam - First Press Conference
Well Sam, I for one want to wish you the best of British for the sake of my beloved Leeds staying in the Prem, in the state we're in i don't think we could be in better hands, you've a fcking mountain to climb mate and you'll go up ten fold in my estimation if you succeed in keeping us up.
I keep thinking i'll wake up in a minute, but i gonna continue dreaming, dreaming that you somehow manage to keep us up and then Radz uses his noggin and gets straight on the blower to Bert to come back for next season and we all thank you no end.
If you can manage to get us 4/5 or 6 points from somewhere somehow you'll be a magician in my eyes and hopefully the others don't manage to get as many points as us.
As as always been the way since Bert departed, we need 3 worse than us, and i'm on my knees hoping you can do it.
There's absolutely no arrogance about Sam, he says it as it is and i like him, if we go down there's probably no body better to get this shower of shite back up, and if we manage to stay up there's probably nobody better to set a solid foundation again to finish around 15th next year.
Best of luck Big man, i'm right behind ya.
