The blame lays firmly with the board, they make the decisions and they are fully responsible for this s**t show.

West Ham

Good
2 runs
1 cross
1 pass
1 interception
1 held-up the ball
1 lay-off
1 tackle

Bad
1 lost possession
1 poor cross

We went to pieces once Paddy left the pitch after 34 minutes, injured again.

Simon Jordan singled him out for some very harsh criticism the other day.

Phil Hay has said that it may be best for all parties if Bamford is moved on.

Citing the Patience of the fanbase having ran out as well as Bamford himself may feel a lot of anger towards the fanbase.

Phil saying it simply can't continue on like this for everyone's sake.

What do we think?

He will be our top earner once Rodrigo leaves.

His standing is going to be very very low because of his record both performance and injury wise

Unlikely to be lots of clubs willing to take a chance.

But there will be some, football is a world where you show some form once and you can live off it for ages.

Wonder what will happen with him

When Phil Hay was saying that, he wasn't talking about getting rid of Bamford. It was just that we can't rely on him alone.

That's my view. Bamford in the squad. But we need another option.

All this depends on our next manager and playing style. Do we want a solo forward who's good at running and hold up? Or are we doing something else?

Bamford needs to be gone, it will never work for him at Leeds now, the sooner the better, and if we can get any coin at all for him and get him off the books that will be great.

He was shite before Bert, he excelled and was brilliant in his role under Bert, he his shite post Bert.

Quite simple now, get shut and start afresh.

Phil said "there are surely only so many times you can dangle him in front of a crowd who are trying to be patient but seriously struggling".

That to me suggests a more permanent exit rather than needing help?

I think it's clear the relationship between Paddy and the fans has broken on both sides. Even if he came back and scored a few goals it wouldn't take long before he'd miss chances and he'd be back to abuse.

Never condone the personal abuse of course in terms of death threats.

But his performances? Yes like any player.

I think he would be our top earner and is he likely to justify that again? Probably not. And you can't have a top earner at Championship level who isn't justifying it imo.

I would be keen for him to be moved on for both our sakes.

Fans and his.

He is clearly struggling physically, the mental struggle must be difficult to.

A parting of ways if possible seems to me to be best?

We need radical changes and they start with players like PB.

Bert knew exactly what he wanted and saw who could do it best for him, he was spot on.

He knew Cooper was a better ball playing, good decision maker, faster in thought FOOTBALLER than Pontus and got shut.

He knew KP would be the better player for the role of DM and got shut of Viera.

He knew PB could do the lone striker role better than Roofe and got shut.

These are the types of radical changes a new manager needs to have the nous of, finding one is gonna be the challenge.

We are fcked.

And another thought.

Who would have him ?

Who would want him ? Because i don't see him having a flurry of clubs lining up to - A. Take him, B. Buy him, C. Want him.

He comes with baggage.

We create a lot of chance, but we don't score enough. To be fair to Bamford, that's not just on him, but I'm always surprised when he scores.

Every time he's injured every pundit comments on how much we miss him, so somebody we be interested, hopefully Southampton or another one of our promotion rivals.

I didn't read that one. Was going by what he said on The Square Ball

Bamford leaving just depends on some other club willing to taking a chance. Not likely. Although improved by reports of 50% pay cuts.

I see him hanging around but only as a squad player. Joseph, Perkins, Gelhardt will be good options inthe championship. But we still need another senior striker (assuming Rodrigo goes).

And that equation also depends on whether we have a 1 striker manager or 2 strikers.

Paddy shot his bolt with me when he stupidly and recklessly celebrated his goal after a long lay off of 3 months. No thought for the club or fans who paid his wages. Idiot! I've never forgiven his stupidity.....never have I seen such indulgent and selfish behaviour.....and.....before anyone pipes up, just look at how Harry Kane celebrates a goal.

I stood by Paddy, my fave player, when members on here were constantly slagging him off, some even ignoring his very existence on some topics. That's why I feel so badly let down by him.

Pre Bert i always commented elsewhere 'there's a player in there somewhere'

And i stood by him even though he frustrated the holy hell out of me, i was absolutely delighted for him when Bert found his role and he excelled having someone to tell him exactly what he wanted him to do, and he did it.

Since, he has looked lost, and doesn't seem to have a role or is confused wtf it is.

He has always been barn door Bamford, before Bert, during Bert and most definitely now, post Bert, he got away with it under Bert coz he excelled elsewhere, but even then he was Berts main culprit for missing goal scoring opportunities.

Like i said, most of Berts glorious changes in certain players they will and have returned to the players they used to be.

I just can't see it working out at Leeds for PB now, he is definitely a touchy fcker that either thrives on confidence or has no confidence whatsoever, and that is what he is now.

It will be better for him and us if he moves on, and i wish him well and hope he does well elsewhere.

If we don't move on from Bamford then this club is incapable of detaching from the past and moving on. 6 goals in 2 seasons from your main striker is a significant factor in why we nearly got relegated last season and got relegated this season.

The new manager just needs to tell him that he doesn't figure in his first team plans - that will help to move him on fast.

Yeah, and tell him to take all his useless, spineless mates with him too.

But I'm just waiting for the bring back Klich and Alioski campaign to start

Yes exactly so. You can't rely on him to score or to be phyu fit to play . The chances he misses , well it's exasperating really . Fair enough first season in PL he scored a fair few, but take into consideration the Bielsa style of play , he had many chances , now how many would a top level striker score from the amount of chances Bamford had , you might look at closer to 30 maybe. Got to move on , both sides ,player and club .

Yep it won't be long before that one starts up, nothing like a bit of selective nostalgia. The likes of Bamford and Forshaw need to be farmed out, they are just taking up a place.

I know this is a a Padfy thread but seeing Forshaw was mentioned.

If he leaves he needs replaced, that costs money we wont have

Good point, Forshaw's been a pivotal part of our relegation campaign. We would struggle to replace him.
