It was fun Andrew....awful injury to one of the Irish batters though, twisting his ankle

Yeah thought they might have carried on for another 30 minutes to give Brook and Bairstow a chance to bat as neither have done much batting lately.

I thought the same. This is really just a warm up game for the Ashes. Would have thought we might have given others a bit of batting. Especially Jonny B who hasn't played much cricket since his injury.

And it's not like we won't bowl them out with 3 days remaining. But Baz/Stokes ball. Always going for the jugular.

Only 2 days remaining as it is a 4 day test but like you say we could have batted till lunchtime tomorrow and still had loads of time to bowl Ireland out. 30 minutes to just let Brooks, Bairstow and even Stokes get their eye in, their timing etc could have been invaluable before playing the Aussies.

We weren't expecting much of a contest but we had a blast. Lords is a fun place.

Ended up missing flight from Luton last night so had an extra night away.

I thought so too. It would have been good to see Bairstow out there as well, and done him some good but we know that Stokes goes all out to win regardless of opponent.

Just been catching up with the Aussies match against India. Sadly have to say they look far too good for us this Summer.

This test final has been a good match so far. Enjoyable to watch. Australia are outplaying India. But India just look a bit rusty. A bit underprepared.

Ashes will still be really interesting. Australia are a formidable side for sure. But we've got a strong squad too.
