Half decent player to be fair.

Whenever I’ve watched him play, generally seems to do well.

Report I read states he is training but not a signing target. He’s there to make up the numbers to make any spygate spies think we have a full squad. 👀

I seem to recall him playing at leftback recently. WOuldn't be a bad player to bring in, knows how to cope with the ER pressure and quite a flexible squad player as can play right back, right wing, left back etc.

Sam is only 29. He burst into our team at a very young age.

27 appearances in three seasons for West Ham.

47 appearances in four seasons at Norwich.

It really hasn't worked out for Sam since he left Leeds.

Makes sense. A short term contract, backup in the squad but not someone we will need longer term.

Fans will need to accept that any signings will be horses for courses with a big eye on the finances.

I'm a Bielsa fan but we bought Douglas and Firpo under his oversight.

He had that great time with Wolves didnt he. All those assists.

In fact it started ok for him at Leeds.
Second game he swung a corner in and Tyler Roberts nutted it into the net. Brentford at home I think?
A sign of things to come...

Same for Firpo in a pre season, drove one across the line for a Bamford tap in.

Oh well.

Five set-piece goals & plenty of assists in a Wolves shirt, looked a decent player for the midlanders. I soon realised he wasn't the same player for Leeds. Slow, caught out of position many times, no goals & probably a couple of assists. Totally the opposite compared to Charlie Taylor, the LB he replaced.

Another player whose career has gone further downhill since leaving Wolves & Leeds.

To be fair, Douglas was playing in a very good Wolves team, he had some terrific players around him.

Douglas was a decent signing, started well, got injured and then it all went wrong
