Re: Radrizzani
Blimey, even I'd buy Sampdoria for the egotistical twot if it got shot of him.
Sorry, but that is how I feel about him now. I was proud of him when he walked out at ER with the EFL trophy in all its blue and gold splendour. I believed in him and that he would take us to the next level. Liar!

Re: Radrizzani
All reports I've seen on this are pretty vague
Just saying that 49ers are supporting Radrizzani's bid
That could mean they're part of his investment group. Or it could just mean they're saying "Yeah, go do it."
So not sure what any of that means right now

Agree.
It’s not been all bad with Radz, not by a long shot. He’s made mistakes, we all do.

Kind of shocking to be agreed with here... but I think for the most part Rads's tenure was decent..Barlow Boy wrote: ↑Fri Jun 16, 2023 6:38 pm Agree.

As I said, he has made mistakes. At the time I thought it was the wrong decision to get rid of Monk (I was at the Player Of The Year Awards and the fans were begging him to keep Monk on), the appointment of Heckingbottom, the badge fiasco, always late for those statement things he did with the fans. I’m sure some on here could think of loads more.
On the other hand, a daft and very small thing I know, but loads of fans had purchased shirts with Chris Woods name on the back, we sold him shortly afterwards, Radz provided fans with a full refund on the shirt (some others wouldn’t). He’s kept my season ticket price to a reasonable level, he’s done a lot with the foundation and disabled supporters. Obviously, the biggest thing he did was bring in Bielsa and give us PL football again. I’m sure I could think of other things.
Again, he’s made mistakes but he’s a country mile away from being the worst owner we’ve had for me.

Re: Radrizzani
Badge fiasco didn't bother me one iota... It seemed really trivial to me at the time. Monk I never rated so ok with that decision, Heck for me was a decent appointment, the second best under his tenure, his kinda proven himself since. Players get sold, I got a Khalil Mack Raider shirt about 10 minutes before Gruden traded him... Just tough luckBarlow Boy wrote: ↑Fri Jun 16, 2023 6:52 pm![]()

I'd also praise his building of a couple of youth squads from scratch

Of course when you say someone did ok you can equally say they didn’t do well enough. And normally the last thing you do is what you’re remembered for.

Re: Radrizzani
Not sure why he deserves any praise.
Got lucky with Bielsa.
Tell me any other great decision in 5 years ?
If what we are led to believe is true he attempted to mortgage the stadium to purchase an Italian club. Happy about that???
Wish him nothing but failure with Sampdoria.

Attempting to use ER as collateral to buy another football club was nothing short of disgraceful
Glad to be shot of the shyster
I hope Sampdoria fail miserably.

I have to say, that bit actually made me laugh out loud
Typical of the arrogant meglomaniac.
Can't wait to see him botch that job up as well.

He’s kept my season ticket at a reasonable level price wise.

Interview with Radz here.
I think he has a lot of regrets about trusting Orta and Kinnear to a lesser extent.
Especially Orta who it seems he allowed to wield to much power and influence
Radz wanted to sack Marsch pre World Cup ffs

Indeed Kev, he took us up to the PL, though I would credit Marcelo with much of our promotion achievement, nevertheless naïveness & arrogance ended up with him taking us back down to square one.Barlow Boy wrote: ↑Thu Jun 29, 2023 8:03 am He’s kept my season ticket at a reasonable level price wise.

Re: Radrizzani
I think it was more to do with complacency, he doesn’t strike me as an arrogant individual. He clearly had too much faith in Orta and was easily persuaded. When the penny dropped and he realised that his trust was misplaced it was too late.
Speculate to accumulate is a risky strategy.
I wonder if Orta will respond in kind. It would be interesting to hear his perspective……maybe not for all, but I would be interested in what he has to say.
40 managers analysed and he believed Marsch was the best option, now that conclusion needs justifying.

The last paragraph is spot on.
